We have dined several times at Dry Creek Grill in the past and were looking forward to our Saturday night dinner. We booked a 8:15pm reservation on OpenTable. The hostess greeted us and after excusing herself to check on our table, we had an odd interaction with what seemed to be a maitre d, but dismissed it. The bus staff was on point, polite and attentive. We ordered cocktails while reviewing the dinner menu, but felt pressured to order or meal as quickly as possible. Our meals came out, and an additional cocktail was ordered, which arrived, finally, after both meals were completed. For the most part the food was fine with the exception of cool mashed potatoes and soggy, undercooked french fries. As the martini finally arrived at the table, the waiter also brought the dessert menu telling us the kitchen was closing and if we were interested in dessert we would need to order right away. Keep in mind our reservation was 8:15 and this exchange occurred at 8:55. We quickly ordered our (delicious) creme brulee and 2 minutes later, the waiter brought our bill. Once settled, we received our dessert and never interacted with another waitstaff member before heading out of the restaurant. We won't be back.

Ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. While the food was good, everything we ordered could've been hotter. I wonder if they were short staffed because everything seemed to take longer than usual... taking drink orders, serving bread, delivering drinks, etc. We appreciated that the music volume is kept to minimum. We go out to eat and enjoy each other's company, not listen to music. That said, next time we dine here, we will ask for a quiet table. The table we were next to on this night seemed to be having some sort of event and they grew loud as the evening went on. We do look forward to going back soon.

My date was late in arriving due to an unplanned emergency. As a result, we had to push back ordering our food and drinks and because it was nearing closing time, it felt like the wait staff was rushing our dining experience. Food was just OK. Restaurant is also in a shopping plaza with nothing else to walk around and see after. It was overall OK experience, but nothing to get too excited about.

We've never been to Drycreek all these years and are so happy we finally tried it. Our food was excellent and the service was friendly. Thank you!

Been here many times but this was the first where I left disappointed. I like their West Side Joe with vodka but something was off this time. Much sweeter than I remember. Beet salad was good. Love the bread. Ordered the blackened mahi mahi and as soon as the plate was set down I could smell the fishy scent knowing it wasn't that fresh. Should have know the blackened was meant to mask it. I did eat mine but my friend couldn't. In addition all of my veg was cold, so was theirs. As for the waiter, he needs some training. When I asked how the fish was prepared his answer was that he wouldn't know bc he does not eat fish. What??!! I did appreciate that he left us alone to chat.

Overall the food was pretty good. The blood orange cosmo and the sidecar were both excellent. I ordered a pork chop. It had some sort of glaze which was delicious. However the chop itself was a bit thin and a tad dry. The cauliflower and broccoli florets accompanying the chop were not cooked quite enough. Others in our party ordered the miso glazed halibut, spinach salad and a spicy pasta topped with prawns. They all liked their meals well enough. The lava cake was good, but it came with the tiniest scoop of vanilla ice cream. We've had better service on other visits. Our waiter started out being quite attentive, but after entrees were served, he disappeared although it wasn't that busy. We had to flag someone down to find our waiter to order dessert, and then had to wait quite a while to get it. We then had to wait a long time for the bill to come. We should have seen that coming and skipped the dessert orders! Overall, Dry Creek Grill is a neighborhood restaurant with decent food, great cocktails, and that's kind of between casual and a bit dressy if you're in the mood.

Worst experience here of all time. Been to Dry Creek many times. Terrible service from the time we walked in the door. We were seated at a table for two and we had four people. We had to go back to the front and be reseated again but at a table for eight this time. Four people at a table for eight made us practically yell at each other to converse. Waited a very long time for our server to arrive. Another long time to have our wine we brought in to be opened. Ordered appetizers that came in about five minutes, but then our main entrees came in about two minutes later. Not appropriate! Very very loud inside because others had to also yell because they were seated at tables for eight and they only had 3-4 people. Very confused at the reception desk to servers and all in the restaurant. Again, worst night ever!!

It's nice to have this restaurant in the neighborhood however, the food is medium. The service was pretty good. It really needs to be freshened up as well for the ambience. It feels old and dark.

Alain, our service was very attentive and made adjustments to our dinner to accommodate allergies. Very good and very friendly. Good food. A little noisy but we were in a booth in the back so it was fine for us.

Busy night since it was New Year's Eve but seemed to be newer to the restaurant or in general was distracted and inattentive. We would have ordered more drinks or appetizers but he never checked in. Could make any good recommendations either. The busser noticed that we'd been waiting for our waiter for drinks and to order and asked if we needed help. Steak dish was good but not much more. Cocktail drinks were just okay. Not great for kids, the chicken strips were over floured and served cold. Again the busser noticed that the kids did not like their meals and asked if we wanted something else. It's not like us to ever complain especially about chicken strips but it wasn't good. Overall, not likely to go back.

For New Year's Eve, they have a limited menu, not having either the meat loaf (my favorite) or beef stroganoff (my S.O.'s favorite). We both ended up having the Short Ribs, which was good. Because of NYE, it was rather noisy and we were seated in a booth near a party of 18+ people. The place was very full (with reservations we were seated in less than 5 minutes of arriving). The only slow service was that our drinks arrived after the appetizer (Crab Cakes).

My friend and I were under a tight schedule and our server did a fabulous job of getting our meal to us quickly and then giving us our check so we could be on our way!! So appreciated on New Years Eve!

Dry Creek Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. Food is always excellent and the staff always greet you with a smile. I took a friend for the first time to dine on NYE, she is ready to go back anytime. You can dine high end or just a starter and salad. I am going back next week to dine with my son as he feels the same way, one of his favorites as well.

This was absolutely my favorite experience at this restaurant as it was also perfectly executed by the staff from the moment we walked into the door and were welcomed until we left. The food was impeccable, the service insured we were well attended to, the Bartender should be in the Hall of Fame for San Jose - he is Simply Amazing. I feel like I'm with family when I'm there and it's so much fun. Every experience has been memorable and the food is beyond compare! I won't forget New Year's Eve at Dry Creek Grill 2025. Thank you!
