One word : Avoid

I had a really terrible experience at Egglicious India in San Jose.
• Food/Taste: Honestly, the food was awful. The flavors were bland and unbalanced, and what should’ve been simple dishes were poorly executed. Nothing tasted fresh or appetizing.
• Atmosphere: The overall vibe was depressing. The place felt unclean, uncomfortable, and completely lacked the warm, inviting atmosphere you’d expect from a restaurant.
• Value: For the quality served, it felt like a complete waste of money. Absolutely not worth the price.
• Experience: I left feeling more disappointed than satisfied, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for good Indian food.

There are so many better options in San Jose — avoid this spot if you care about taste, service, or atmosphere.

Service was extremely slow — had to wait to order, to pay, and even for to-go boxes. Total waste of time. If they’re short staffed, they should really add order-from-table and pay-at-table options using QR scan like some other restaurants.

Place has some decent food options, some egg related stuff is quite good however the service off late has been horrible. Since past 1 month it has been that way where we arrive and it takes forever to take the order and then forever to deliver. Recently we had come from work around 5.30 and their place starts at 5 and we were waiting for 5-10 mins to place the order at the counter but nobody came outside to take it, despite folks inside seeing that we are at the counter. We eventually left. Unfortunately the door dash folks that were with us couldn't leave and they were stuck calling up the folks and some even trying to go inside to reach out to them. Service has been abysmal.

Tried their Veg Chinese Sizzler – decently prepared with a good balance of veggies, though I was hoping for a bit more flavour. The surprise winner was the Kullad Chai (wish they had real Kullads.!). Also, the menu is impressively elaborate with plenty of options to choose from.

Sizzlers, chaat, Indo-Chinese food, lot of choices. Food was excellent with casual settings. Indian beers added to the flavors.

Ordered paneer sizzler and kaju curry

Kaju curry had nothing but kajus in it. There was barely any curry so the dish felt so dry and therefore it wasn’t very flavorful.

The paneer sizzler was bland. Should have been more spicy but didn’t get to choose the spice level while ordering delivery. Also expensive and less quantity. Better to order while dining in.

Overall a disappointing experience. Only the egg dishes are flavorful but even they are extremely oily which is not healthy. They cannot maintain consistency in the taste and flavor of their food probably because the food is made by college students instead of proper chef.

When they started out it was supposed to be a egg + veg only restaurant. (Original menu) Sad to see they have changed the concept now to include non veg as well.

Ordered DoorDash from here last evening and had a terrible experience overall. The initial delivery driver left since they were taking too long to prep the order. The second driver dropped the order off at my door and just as I brought it in the bottom of the delivery bag burst open with food flying everywhere. The dishes somehow tumbled out upside down since the bottom of the brown paper bag had disintegrated due to stuff leaking from the inverted food containers - the turmeric in them staining parts of the carpet, furniture, door and floor. The food itself was extremely disappointing - quantity was very questionable for the price, pav was dense and soggy, kokum sharbat was too sweet and should have been tangier, the surati ghotala from EggMania is far far better and they hadn't included the crispy noodles for the manchow soup. Stomach didn't feel great the next morning either.

Every egg dish is different and good.

Egg🥚dishes are good but very expensive🫰 and quantity is less. Pav Egg omelette has a unique taste.

I ordered Surati Egg Gotala. I like it a lot.
