Albondigas and homemade corn tortillas were top notch. Soup was delicious from broth to veggies and meatballs. Light broth was very tasty. Handmade corn tortillas were thee beat Ive had. I would order a stack of these.

Very nice place. You have such a nice bar. At least get a real part time bartender for the weekends. The mixed drinks are not good with the bus boys making the drinks.

We frequent this place every few months, and my go-to is their delicious and consistent shrimp fajitas with grilled jalapeños on the side. The chips, salsa, and guacamole are also enjoyable, and others in our group have liked their diverse dishes. We often gather here for friends' birthdays, usually a sizable group, resulting in a higher bill, but the service is consistently good. It's not a fancy spot, but they work hard, and the margaritas are quite good. The bar always has sports to watch. I wish they were open for lunch on weekdays other then Fridays, but the evenings work for us.Convenient parking is usually abundant in the plaza. No significant wait times, and the authentic Mexican food makes it a great spot for a quick and casual meal.

Been going there for years. Their salsa and chips is a must. And they serve amazing Chabelas. I like to order combination plates because they are delicious, varied, and reasonable.

Love El Maestro. Food is delicious. Service is quick. I had a combination pork tamale and chile verde enchilada...perfection. My daughter had chicken fajitas...cooked in the best sauce. Their cocktails are also great...fresh squeezed lime in their margs and chevelas. .

I am trying new restaurants with my son and ended up at El Maestro. My son ordered a shrimp burrito el Diablo and he couldn't eat it, because it was too hot. Later, we looked at what was inside the burrito, and besides the sauce being hot, the cook chopped up raw Serrano chiles raw with the seeds, and no wonder it was so incredibly hot!! Wow, the veins and seeds are ? fire. I ordered an enchilada, and the sauce was not authentic, and the tamale was better. It comes with what looked like 3 to 4 tablespoons of beans, lacking flavor with Spanish rice, and the rice was hard and old. If you want good Mexican food, Adelitas in Campbell is the best so far on my list... I definitely won't come back here again. I'm very disappointed.I won't even mention the fact that an entire family was served before we were, and we ordered way before the family was seated. It's just not worth it. Save your money$$$Parking: Restaurant is located behind a closed down Kickin ? Crab off Blossom Hill Rd

Decent Mexican food, although the portions were on the small side. The tacos had very little chicken and beef in them. The salsa was below average.

We ordered for Steak Quesadilla & there was hardly any steak meat in it. First time. Not likely to revisit.

We will not be back. The quality of the food is horrible pre-cooked seasoned rice, parboiled not fresh and authentic. The beans were canned. The enchilada sauce is canned. My daughter-in-law ordered nachos and they were not nachos. I was so confused by the nachos everything came on a plate and she had to dip her chips. Way too much salt in the food and we all had bathroom issues for the rest of the day and night. We're giving it 2 Stars because the drinks were good.

Surprised not better reviews. I loved the jalapeño margarita. I also like that you can get the combo plate with only one item AND they offer several choices for how you want the meat prepared, shredded chicken or grilled. Also, the salsa is AMAZING!

I have been trying out many chimichangas in the Bay Area. Most of them have too thick tortilla. El Mastro had thin tortilla which was great. However the meat inside wasn't tasty and below expectations. The best chicken chimichangas ever was in Chico, CA, but sadly that restaurant has closed down.
