Real close to freeway on ramp great traditional Mexican food restaurant the food and drinks was as close to home cooked as it could be it was outstanding I would have took more pictures but my battery on my phone died I I would recommend eating lunch or a quick snack

It's a little passable, not much. I really don't recommend it. I have to say it not with the intention of doing harm just so that the staff's attitude changes. A group of young people arrived and they looked like they were friends of the owner's daughter and something happened between them (the young people) and the young woman slapped her hand and the lady scolded and scolded the young woman. What a fantastic experience! I have been in San Jose my whole life and how I missed this jewel of a place I'll never know. Will definitely be returning. The food was fresh, authentic and amazing. The decor was warm and inviting..whoever did the art/mural work also deserves 5 stars. I had chicken mole enchiladas, Wonderful!! And the service was consistently helpful, friendly and polite even though we stayed for a couple hours enjoying the afternoon. Oh and the coffee what a treat. Hope you try this hidden gem and enjoy it as much as we did.

Authentic Mexican food just like having your abuelita making food for you. The cafe de olla was not what I expected but so much better. It had amazing flavor! The mole and the menudo had great flavor and the hand made tortillas were the cherry on top! We also tried the polvorones and the were so delicious and went great with the cafe.

I went in after seeing all the good reviews and honestly I don't know what food you guys are talking about. Everything was dry and had no seasoning. The service was a terrible everyone was rude and had an attitude. And the overall experience was just terrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone it amazes me how many good reviews this place has, that's what made me come here. But don't be fooled it was a terrible experience overall.

BEST FOOD EVER! Was looking through Yelp for a good Mexican food spot when I came across this gem! Everything is home made and full of flavor. Nothing is canned and homemade even the tortillas! The red salsa is the perfect flavor and opt out for the green if you want something spicy! The chicken flautas were flavorful and juicy as ever. Usually it's hard to find some that aren't dry but they made it happen! Family owned small business and super friendly owners. Definitely give it a chance.
