This is a small, family owned restaurant that has been one of my favorites for years! They are like family to me now. Have some patience. It takes time for the food to arrive because most items are made fresh to order. It's worth the wait. They even hand make their corn tortillas. The food quality is always good. Sometimes you get stale chips, but not the worst offense. The salsa gets me 70% to the old pruneyard El burro if you remember that. Great chicken enchilada in the Verde sauce.
Food is great, very authentic..Plato de tasajo: Nice big portion and amazing taste. Their rice and beans are delicious as well as the "tasajo" meat.
