Julia was such a sweet server! She explained the food portions to us very well since it was our first time eating here.

Update: Went to eat last Friday (7/11) around 530p. We opted for an inside table for the four of us, and the young lady brought us to a table near the bar and cooking station.
We sat for ten minutes without anyone stopping by. No hello. No I'll be right with you. It was not busy as there were empty tables along the bar. The staff were moving around, helping their tables and walked past ours. A table that was seated after us was helped.
I asked a tall individual if he knew who our waiter was. Says he didn't know and would ask up front. I saw him go down two tables and make a left to the bar and picked up food to drop off at another table. Never did ask. Terrible!
Waited another five minutes, and finally got up to leave. We left and I told the young lady at the front that we waited far too long but no one ever came.
Service has gone down hill. Terrible!
Great food and kind staff! Daily happy hour is a great way to sample the food, but it does get busy.

Excited for a later happy hour (shout out for having it til 6pm), but the experience was meh overall. The service is always a struggle, having to ask for our drink (singular) multiple times as well as one of our dishes that took ages to come out. The drink itself was great (a spicy Bloody Mary), and the food was mixed. The sushi rolls were fine - not great, not terrible. Generally, a good amount of meat and didn’t overdo it on the rice amount, but nothing overly fancy or flavorful. The show stopper was the dry rub wings. Six wings, and they were massive. SO flavorful, juicy, super crunchy, and totally worth the double fry. Some of the happy hour items are a good deal, while others aren’t, it’s a mix. Just go in with minimal expectations and you’ll be fine.

The food flavors are excellent. The chicken wings are crispy, but the garlic, jalapeños and bell peppers are very loose and do not stick on the wings. The cucumber salad are very refreshing, and the dressing is well balanced in the flavor.

Have been here before many times and the food must’ve gotten worse. The service was horrendous and was hard to catch a waiter even though the restaurant was empty. The waiter must’ve just ignored us on purpose. Immediately sent back my food because I felt like something wasn’t right. Update: I puked after and am not feeling well. Poor quality food and poor service. Only had a bite of the items I sent back and still had to pay full price for those items. I used to go here often a year or two ago, but not anymore.

Very expensive, completely unreasonable comparing to prices. Terrible service- restaurant was empty, but catching server and getting something from him was a quest

Tried this place while strolling around in Santana Row.
Food was delicious. Got the garlic edamame, grilled sunset oysters, fish tacos and salmon fried rice. Liked everything that we ordered.
The portion sizes were pretty decent too.
Would recommend!

We went on a Saturday night and it was slow but still waited 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. We went empty on drinks after that for another 10 minutes. Servers seemed more into hanging out than waiting on us. Food was ok. The upkeep of the place is a shame though, the men's room was absolutely disgusting, paper towels overflowing and all over the floor, dirty and a hole in the wall. For upscale pricing it was an experience that doesn't match up. Hard pass for the future.

I recommend going elsewhere on Santana Row.
I had oysters and the branzino; my friend had the salmon. Oysters were good. But our main dishes, we agreed, were quite flavorless. We left disappointed. The price is also pretty outrageous for what we got. It came to ~$90 per person. Overall this is not a place I'd recommend.
To make matters worse, we both fell ill a few days later. While I can't say for sure it was from our dinner at EMC, I suspect it was.

Uni Pasta
It is creamy with house-made pasta that had a great texture. Definitely a standout dish!
Manila Clams
It cooked with white wine, butter, and bacon. I couldn’t taste the wine and felt like they added a bit too many herbs. It wasn’t my favorite dish.
Food was on point, but unfortunately, the service didn’t quite live up to the quality of the dishes. It wasn’t bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

This is high end main ingredients dressed and presented poorly. Perfect for untrained taste buds🙄 Cafeteria food at best. I should have known better after walking in and noticing how dirty and unorganized the reception area looked. My mistake for not following my instincts😑

Everything else was good except the food quality. Right after my wife and I came back from EMC for dinner I had diarrhea immediately when I got home. My wife suffered cholecystitis the next day… won’t come here again cuz the food there seemed extremely unhealthy to us.

EMC (Eat More Clam or Crab?) XD
The location of the restaurant is excellent, and I like the decoration style and atmosphere.
My friend said it was a Japanese-style seafood bar, but the dish I ordered was wrong, so I didn’t feel that way, and the taste was quite strong. The only grilled salmon with a slight Japanese flavor was slightly overcooked and tasted bad.
HAPPY HOUR went to enjoy the meal at all times. After checking out in the evening, because the conversation continued, we took a long time to leave. We will not turn away guests, but we will not refill the water.

Warning: Came here excitedly two days ago for the oysters. Husband ate more than a dozen oysters, mostly the happy hour oysters, and a day and a half later, has food poisoning. Seeing that others may have recently had this experience as well.
