I’ve been here twice this past year—once for dinner and once for weekend brunch—and both experiences were amazing. For dinner, expect to pay a pretty penny; dinner and drinks for two came to about $360 with tip. Brunch, on the other hand, was super reasonable considering all the offerings—we spent around $50 per person including food, drinks, and tip.

The food was incredibly flavorful and filling, with beautiful and unique presentation. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning and both times our servers were amazing—attentive, friendly and professional.

I’d give a 9.8 out of 10, with the only deduction being that the hosts were a bit snobby both times.

REVIEW: Eos & Nyx tried, but it's obvious there is struggle behind the scenes. First giveaway was the credit card needed to hold a reservation - I mean, only the top tier restaurants demand this level of commitment. So, I thought - this is going to be great! Not so...at all.

Upon entering, I was refused seating until my friend arrived, (a practice done for large groups.) We were then quickly seated as there was ample space. Enter the server who had zero affect and made it clear that it was a chore to work on a rainy Sunday night. He gave us his well-rehearsed pitch from an obvious memorized script. He did not appreciate questions and was adamant that we, too, stick to the script like having to order the full dinner all at once and not able to request substitutions. When we did not want to order drinks, he moved on quickly to the next table. Nothing personable with subtle annoyance. Not a good vibe.

We ordered an appetizer, the octopus which was cooked very well. HOWEVER, the salt level in the sauces made it inedible. We sent it back and the waiter returned saying the chef agreed that it was too salty. Entres arrived, and for $45 I received one pork chop cut into pieces, and, you guessed it - a small portion of over-salted potatoes centered on the plate. No other side - no bread, no vegetable, and no sauce. The pork chop was dry and flavorless. Complete disappointment. My friend ordered he burger which was very good, but the fries - again, you guessed it - inedible- the salt!

The chef must have realized our dissatisfaction and sent a dessert to the table; but by this time, we were done.

Therefore, Insensitive staff, inedible food, overpriced dishes + the 3% surcharge for using a credit card all point to one direction: We will not be going back. We had much hope - but what a disappointment on so many levels.

I wish you a better experience if you should want to give it a try. It's beautifully decorated with a nice bar...but that's it.

I'm very happy San Jose has a restaurant with high ambition. The food was good, more on that below.

We raced to get here, on time after a hiccup with childcare. Despite the restaurant being 2/3 full on a Saturday, we were seated a couple inches away from another couple. Wanting some privacy, I asked to be moved to a less crowded area, which was nicely handled.

Then, we waited. It took 20 minutes exactly to get an order in, and then a wait for food. Others were served much more quickly. Were we being ignored due to asking for more private space? We'll never know.

The sides were great. My pork chop was good. I've had better, but not by much. We saw the lobster pasta at another table and impulsively ordered it. It was good but not quote $68 good, our mistake for not checking the price first. You'd think you might get a whole lobster at that price.

This was our most expensive meal in a long time and if the service has been on point, it would have been more in line with what we paid, $68 pasta excluded.

Spent $$$$ for our team dinner here. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere is great, however the food was so so. It’s either: too sweet (Brussels sprouts was full of sugar and caramelized), too fat (potatoes drenched with cheese) and the pork was tough to cut. Great effort but will not be back there again.

The food here was absolutely incredible — some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Every dish showcased thoughtful, well-balanced flavors and beautiful presentation. The ambiance was a perfect 10/10; the entire space is visually stunning and sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.

However, there were a few downsides that took away from the overall experience. There were several small bugs flying around our table, and at one point, one even landed in our food — thankfully, we had already finished eating. Service also started off wonderfully, but it ended on a disappointing note. After paying our bill, we decided to order another round of drinks and a shareable snack. Shortly after, our server came by and asked us to move to the bar because they needed the table. While we agreed politely, it felt discourteous to be asked to relocate when we were continuing to order — especially since we were never made aware of any time limit for our table when we booked our reservation nearly a month in advance.

In an establishment as upscale and refined as this, I expected a more consistent level of hospitality and attention to detail throughout the evening.

We ordered three appetizers and a NY strip with drinks. The appetizers were decent, but the NY strip was extremely tough and chewy, far below what you’d expect from an $80 steak. I hope the restaurant reviews its preparation and quality control — the chef can definitely do better.

From start to finish this place is spectacular. An awesome addition to downtown San Jose‘s dining scene. Locally owned and clearly organized and operating very well. Our waitress Cynthia was super helpful and gave us the guidance we needed as first time diners. Their menu was reasonably priced based on the final product. Steaks cooked perfectly, appetizers brought promptly, and a couple of fun surprises along the way. The four of us all enjoyed ourselves, and felt very comfortable relaxing in their dining room enjoying a meal with good company. I look forward to going back and trying other Menu items, the family style sharing was indeed a hit.

My favorite was the dips and pita bread. The red pepper dip was the best and paired perfectly with the soft crunchy pita. The French toast is also amazing the cream filling was lime based and added a great flavor.

Very disappointed. Our food was served after 30 minutes of wait and a gentle reminder from us. And it tastes bad. Wouldn’t come back.

The most ridiculous part was that we were charged extra for paying with credit card. Is this a joke? Is this a money-laundering scheme?

What an amazing dinner! We loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Perfect meal before catching a show at the Hammer Theater. We had drinks, an appetizer, pasta, and entree. We were sat at a high top upstairs and it really was perfect. Truly top notch service from the whole team. We were really taken care of!
