Don't go to this place if you want a hot sandwich. Unlike the other locations, this one does not have a toaster oven and uses a standard microwave. The bread winds up being soggy and chewy. No issues if you're going to get a cold sandwich. Employees were friendly and prompt but the food is not on par with other Eric's deli's. I verified with one of the employees that they do not have a toaster oven.

Erik’s is a great place to eat. I have eaten at 4 different locations, totaling over 200 visits. I eat here at least once a week. Their soups are outstanding, my favorite is the tomato. The chili is also excellent. Their sandwiches are fresh, with most covered in sprouts. My favorite for a light meal is the pilgrims progress with light onions and extra sprouts. When I’m really hungry I go with the Cali Classico. The dub club is great for kind of an in between. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The staff is always friendly and helpful here. My favorite local Erik's deli location! I once had a problem with a mobile order, called the manager and they happily re-made my food free of charge. If you want delicious, healthy, and not over priced food - this is the place for you.

Having returned back to my Hometown to attend an awards ceremony we were holed up inside Hayes Mansion for most of the day and when deciding lunch my first thought was to get takeout from a place I grew up eating at - Eriks! The REO Speedwagon was just the way I had remembered it and the quality of the food that arrived matched the dine-in food that I recall enjoying when I was growing up. The service was fantastic as the bag that the food came in had everything that I needed and I also appreciated that when I later drove by the restuarant it still had the same ambiance that I remember as well. Highly recommend people checking this place out.

Wish we had Erik's in Ventura County, or at least in Southern California. Had never heard of them before, and tried one near Kaiser Hospital in southern San Jose recently. Didn't know anything about them, or that it's a chain in the Bay Area - mostly in and around San Jose, then down toward Santa Cruz / Watsonville, etc. When we walked in to order I, of course, noticed the old pot-bellied wood stove near the front door. Rustic décor that had been there a while was also evident. Felt a bit like a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. We were ordering sandwiches to take to our cousins who were at the hospital to advocate for their dad. They hadn't had any decent food all day, so we offered to pick something up for them. They came right back with "Pilgrim's Progress, Dub Club, Chicken Pesto" as their order. Hmm, I thought. Interesting. I ended up ordering the Dub Club for myself, leaving off the cheese. It's like a club sandwich on sourdough, plus avocado and sprouts, in addition to turkey and bacon. Very yummy! The ordering process was speedy and friendly. The fulfillment didn't take very long. I have the sense the this location runs like a well-oiled machine. There are many tables to dine inside, but I think they do a lot of takeout, too. Had a little bit of time to soak up the old-fashioned atmosphere with little sayings and cabin-style decorations from a bygone era. Next time we're up that way, I would definitely want to try some of the other locations, as well. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Sandwiches come with a tart dill pickle slice on the side. Worked for me!

This has been a childhood favorite of our family’s forever and after I moved away I have missed their sandwiches. Every time I am back in town I make sure to stop in for lunch. I seem to always order the Pilgrim’s Progress. (Turkey avocado, sprouts on squaw bread). It is loaded.

Nasty salad. There were several pieces of decaying lettuce in my salad. Luckily I transferred it into a different bowl. Also there were only 5 small pieces of beets in my beet salad. A try miss today!!

Atmosphere good, I like the repurposed wood aesthetic but staff stoic and food overpriced. $10ish dollars for a sliced bread sandwich. I can get a 6" elsewhere for $7-8. They don't take tap to pay, not a big deal but technical stuff like that just makes me shake my head when it's in silicon valley. Not a bad place to eat per sey just nothing to pull me back. Mr Pickles and Firehouse Subs are 2 noteworthy examples of good sandwich places. Great tasting, evenly priced and upbeat staff.

I haven't been to Erik's DeliCafe in a while and I won't be back for a very long time maybe never. The butternut squash soupUsed to be HOT and THICK.Now only WARM and pathetically THIN.No spoon given.I know this new law you're only supposed to give them if they ask but most companies give them any way. Erik's should ask me if I want one what are they expect me to do, slurp it?I was used to Erik's giving them giving me a spoon even after the law passed, but now no spoons given. If that was the only thing I would totally go back and remember to ask, but I feel like I'm getting water soup, so no thank you. ?

Felt like a sandwich so I made my way here on a Friday evening at 5pm. I was the only one there so my order was quickly taken. Decided on the Cali Clasico to-go, broccoli cheddar soup, and an after treat. Sandwich was very well made and ingredients were fresh. Bread was crispy and the artichoke pesto added such a flavorful flare. Will have to go back and try out the other sandwich options!

This review is for to go order only: I was in the mood to eat a sandwich with some fresh vegetables and "Del Monte Special" did fit the bill. I liked that I could sub the cheese per my preference and add red bell peppers at no extra cost. The bread choices were also plenty. I have now tried this same sandwich on three different breads: 9 grain, ciabatta as well as sourdough. They all taste pretty good. All the fillings in the sandwich were fresh including the sprouts. All in all a solid place to grab a quick sandwich for lunch or snack.
