The naan was store-bought, reheated, and served as if it were fresh. When we politely pointed this out to the manager, Sid, he admitted it wasn’t made in-house but offered no apology, no adjustment, and no effort to make it right. Instead, the response was dismissive and borderline rude—like we were inconveniencing them for expecting authenticity at a supposedly upscale Indian restaurant.

We had an amazing experience at Fitoor! The Paneer Lababdar was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. For non-vegetarians, the Thecha Chicken was definitely the star — full of flavor and just the right amount of heat.

The Peri Peri Chicken had a nice kick and was super tender, while the Avocado & Paneer Galouti was one of the most unique and delicious appetizers we’ve had — melt-in-your-mouth good! The Paneer Fig Tikka was also a pleasant surprise with its subtle sweetness and smoky flavor.

We ended the meal with Shahi Tukda Tre Leches, which was the perfect fusion dessert — creamy, decadent, and beautifully presented.

Live belly dance performance and DJ was cherry on top.

Highly recommend this place for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!

All dishes were very nice except the chicken biryani. It was too dry and rather bland. Have had much better biryani elsewhere for less. Vibes and service were great!

I visited the restaurant last Saturday evening for dinner. The ambience was nice, though I preferred sitting on the patio. Overall, the food was well cooked, but I wasn’t too impressed with the breads. I understand the staff gets busy during dinner hours, but our cutlery was delayed. The butter chicken was absolutely amazing, while the chaat dish I ordered was just average.

Took my mom for her bday. Entire family loved the restaurant. The food was super rich and very tasty. Tried 6 out of the 11 vegetarian options ( Malabar paratha quesadilla, Mumbai Dabeli Croquette, Figs Paneer Tikka, Reinvented Paneer Lababdar, Double Butter Dal Makhni, Almond Malai Kofta along with Butter Naan, Cumin Rice, Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Malabar Paratha) . One of the best indian restaurants in south bay. Definitely will go again.

Service was really good — our waiter was super respectful and made sure all our requests were taken care of.

Ambience was nice, just what you’d expect from Santana Row — classy and comfortable.

Now the food… this was a bit tricky. The menu doesn’t really have anything mild, and the waiter actually mentioned that upfront (which I appreciated). There’s not much for kids unless they’re used to spicy food. Menu options were also kinda limited.

We tried the avocado and paneer tikki — both were tasty but definitely on the spicier side. The malai kofta was good too, just wish there was a milder version available. The jackfruit dry curry was very spicy — great prep and flavor, but we had to give up halfway because of the heat 😅.

Bathrooms were clean and well-kept, which is always nice.

Overall, it’s a good spot if you like spicy food and don’t mind paying a bit extra. Prices felt slightly high, but given it’s Santana Row, it kinda makes sense.

The food was good however, BE WARNED. We were a party of 2 people and they forced a 20% gratuity AND a 3.5% living wage fee. There was no warning or preemptive sign of them including gratuity in our bill.

Food, service, and ambiance are all excellent, and the desserts are definitely worth trying. I do wonder why they have so many reviews though. The starters were impressive, with a good variety and something unique to help justify the higher prices, but the main course felt pretty standard. Also, reservations after 9 PM can be difficult, and the kitchen tends to close fairly quickly.
