While this place is now closed, I wanted to warn anyone who plans to get catering with them when they reopen their business (likely to be under a new name).I booked them for a wedding because they did my sister's wedding in 2015. While communication was inconsistent with Ming and Lisa, I still went with them since there are very few Chinese wedding caterers in the Bay Area. I should have took note of that as a red flag early on.For context, my wedding got rescheduled from 2020 to 2021. Ming already started being very unresponsive at the beginning of 2021. Come 2 months prior to the wedding, I reached out to Ming every day for an entire week and he didn't respond to any of my calls, texts, or emails. He finally responded over email letting me know that he could not cater my wedding anymore and would refund me the deposit. He stopped responding to my emails ever since and never refunded me my money. Very disappointing because he seemed like a very accommodating and kind in our early interactions.I would understand if he couldn't cater the wedding if he had informed me a bit earlier (at least 6 months prior) and refunded my money. This is simply unacceptable and very poor business practices.

went back there today SADLY they are GONE no idea if they will be heading to a better spot. THEY got gasp replaced by an urban soccer park whatever that is. it seems one of the best places to get dim sum is closed. my dad and i will i guess try ocean harbor now. they have pretty much the same dim sum and other goodies we've never had yet. BUT losing this place hurts.

Although the Flourishing Garden hasn't really been flourishing in recent years, I'm sorry to see it with the windows boarded up, going the way of all things. A good dim sum spot back in the nineties, now but a memory. Where am I going to go to get bean curd sheets stuffed with shrimp now?

I believe this place is officially closed. Made a stop this morning and saw construction guys cleaning the place house.

I called a bunch of time, but no one answered so I drove passed by it today and it's still closed due to Covid. We usually eat here with my dad on the weekends and it's probably one of our favorite places to eat at in San Jose for dim sum.

Absolutely beautiful place. Go in the spring, when the camellias are in bloom. It's a perfect place to spend the day, although it would be better if there were a great place to eat--the two places inside the gardens are only ok. The Cherry Blossom Festival brings huge crowds, so try to plan your visit around that weekend but avoid that Saturday/Sunday-you'll see the same beautiful trees and flowers in bloom and avoid the hour long line to get in. Or, buy a membership and go whenever you want, avoiding the lines entirely. Definitely a great place to bring out of town visitors (especially if they're escaping a harsh, snowy winter)

It was a bit different ordering but once you figure that out (side door) But all was good .. i ordered they made if fresh .. it was hot and very tasty ... the staff really went out of their way in making sure all was good.. the chef called me to tell my order ready and told me she packaged small bottle of sanitizer .. but they dim sim was really good...i will go back and i do appreciate the staff making my experience a good one thank you

I wouldn't even feed my dogs their dim sum. Chicken feet was done incorrectly, really hard and chewey, sui Mai was horrible and has no taste. I think these people learn how to make dim sum on YouTube.

3/7/20 Well, we only got dimsum here so that's the only food reflected in the low score. The dimsum was pretty bad though. For one, the steamed ribs were half raw. Secondly, the chicken feet wasn't quite raw, but wasn't really cooked enough either, although it was still edible unlike the ribs. Thirdly, the sticky rice totally stuck to the ultra-thin lotus leaves. Pretty much made them impossible to eat since every attempt made at scooping out any rice merely just tore away at the leaf that you'd madly try to hold down with your fingers. In the end, the rice would win the fight, and you're going to the bathroom to clean up the horrible sticky mess... Got some other stuff too, and they weren't as bad, but weren't good either. Totally craptastic. 1/5 #dimsum #sanjose

I very much enjoyed the dishes and customer service, fantastic location to my apartment. The cashiers are always very welcoming. Will visit here again.

This place is my preferred one. I visit many restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The team is very affectionate and the food they offer is so appetizing. I would always prefer to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

Great food with friendly services, but not sure why the restaurant is always empty. We came and enjoyed two Friday night dinner with hardly anyone there
