To say this was the best sandwich I've ever had would NOT be an overstatement.
I've had both the chicken sandwich and the club and both are mind blowingly good. They use only the highest quality ingredients and do not skimp on the quantity. Usually a sandwich is a just a sandwich, but I'm telling you, these are AMAZING.
Their soups are also absolutely wonderful. Made from scratch by the owner who's not only an amazing cook but a heck of a nice person. She obviously takes a lot of pride in her creations.
I only come to San Jose once or twice a year, and I always INSIST on eating here.
Wow! Ordered a lemon bar. It tasted old and the crust was so hard that I almost broke the plastic fork trying to get through it. I wasn't going to say anything, but that wasn't edible. Mentioned it to the staff, said please, exchange it for anything else. She said they're made fresh, and I gasped- today?! No response. 2 stars because they exchanged it for an apple tart.
I am spellbound đ Ordered Mango Tango cake from here and I am so glad I did. So flavorful and not overly sweet. I am not a big fan of mangoes as they are too sweet, but the cake, they did some magic and I loved every bit of it. A must-try. Really looking forward to trying more from the bakery. Kudos to the bakers đ
We ordered a guava mouse cakeâvery nice! They make super beautiful custom ordered cakes!
Nice ambiance & eating area. But baked goods are pricey for food with ordinary taste.
Bad apple strudel, I don't know what's in there but I puked right after, I had to eat something else to cover the stale and artificial taste. The pastry was so dry and stale.
The shop itself looks like they are better with cake so I made the terrible mistake choosing the worst item. Their chocolate cookies are nice and moist but honestly this apple strudel was not eatable and ruin my whole impression of this place. I had to toss it which is such as waste of food and money.
I went to flower flour and got 2 small chocolate macarons. They cost $7.70 which I thought was high but if they were really good I wouldnât mind paying that. They were horrible. They tasted old and chewy. Next time I will go to Whole Foods for macarons. They are half the price and taste WAY better.
I used to come here all the time, and with the new owners, it doesnt feel French all all. I came for my birthday today and I was so disappointed. There was mexican music blasting which i wouldnt mind at a mexican restaurant. But not a French cafe. I was also really looking forward to a crepe (hence why i even came to a french cafe) but I was sad to hear they donât offer them anymore. Itâs definitely not the same as they used to be so I probably wont be going back :(
The pastries are delicious and light, and the service was amazing! They make a lot of beautiful, custom-made cakes, and the interior is also super cozy. Highly recommended! âď¸
We got chocolate hazelnut cake from here and was terrible. It was super sweet and dint have any flavor or moisture that good cakes typically have. Was too dry and dint taste like cake from a good bakery. Never going back here.

Stopped by this gem while staying at a hotel connected to the plaza. Great scones, and the cake I had at night was awesome also! Definitely a unique find in a great shopping plaza.
One of the best bakeries in town.
The guava cake is my favorite
We've ordered a mini cake from this bakery before and it was okay, so we decided to try it again when we were craving something sweet. This time, we ordered a mini burnt almond cake and were extremely disappointed. The cake had a strange smell, but we gave it a try anywayâonly to be met with a taste resembling spoiled milk or rotten eggs, with a hint of lemon. We immediately spit it out, but even after just one bite, both of us ended up with stomach aches. This was a very disappointing experience.
Weâve found our new favorite bakery for birthday cakes, I preordered in person about 5 days in advance (we live walking distance so we just popped in to order) staff was very nice and detail oriented and pickup was easy breezy. The cake looked beautiful! It was perfect, not too sweet and very light and airy texture. I think what would make this cake stand out even more would be some sweet berries in the middle, like strawberries/blueberries for some extra flavor. Excited to try more of their cakes in the future.
Such a cozy bakery with the most delicious pastries and friendly staff! Everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfect with a cup of coffee. A must visit!
