In town from Chicago to get my son settled in for college, and was googling looking for a place to have lunch. Read the reviews about the fresh baked bread and made this spot my choice, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The fresh baked bread makes the sandwich. They definitely use quality meat brand boarshead, and fresh fixings. I will definitely be bake each time I visit.

Small sandwich shop that's open 4 hours a day. However they are pretty solid with good prices. Very friendly staff with a pretty good amount of seating outside.

Would recommend for sure, good vibes, good prices, and good food.

Best Sandwich place in San Jose. Always come here, especially for the pastrami.

The sandwiches are delicious especially with the freshly baked bread and dill pickle on the side. The pastrami and smoked ham is my favorite. I always swing by when I'm in the area. The outdoor tables across from the park are a nice atmosphere for a break.

Easily the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. I lucked out having this spot as the closest sandwich shop to where I’m staying. I was greeted right away by a friendly staff member who let me know they had fresh, warm bread ready to go—off to a great start. I can be pretty particular about my sandwich fixings, but they took down every detail without missing a beat and assured me it’d be right out. That’s when they mentioned it was cash-only (which I didn’t know), but thankfully there was an ATM right inside. By the time I grabbed some cash, my sandwich was ready. The crunch, the meat, the sauce—absolute perfection. Huge props to the whole team. I’ll definitely be back.

BANGER! Best sandwich I've had in South Bay. The huge line moved amazingly fast. Street parking was easy to find on a Friday afternoon. I am going to keep coming back to this place.

Had a pastrami Sandwich which was good and the bread was really good. The problem was it cost $14 cash only and the amount of meat they gave was very little. Honestly you’re better off eating at poor house bistro. In comparison the pastrami sandwiches I’ve had in Los Angeles for the same price have more than double the meat of these ones. Something is way off. They’re either being really skimpy or their supplier is screwing them over or they’re getting hosed with a bad lease or something.

Most amazing sandwiches ever made. I worked at Togo's back in the day, slicing meat, making sandwiches, I could not do anything close to what they do, of coures they have better bread, otherwise maybe I can create an amazing sandwich, but leave it up to these professionals, crafting their sandwich art! I love going there, not much of a chance now-a-days since I moved to Japan. Amazing stuff!

Been coming here for years, well over a decade….and each time it’s superb! Cash only, but they’ve got an ATM if you forget to bring some…the service is consistently quick, friendly and a reason to return…but the biggest reasons to return are their absolutely marvelous sandwiches….they start with freshly baked steaming warm bread, and all of the fixins meats n cheeses are fresh and aplenty. Solid drink selection, and one of DTSJs fun little secrets. For sandwich lovers, this is a fantastic spot.

They have always made a delicious and better sandwich than California Sourdough. Fresh Bake never disappoints.

IMO. The BEST sandwiches I've had. The classic with a side of pickle is my usual. I would have this every day if I could. The team is super friendly and ask you how the food was. One of the places i always recommend to people!
