First time at this place and kinda sad it's closing down. I got to re connect with my moms old friend and her family who owns the business. Great to see you guys again after 29 years!! Let's get together more!

We love this place mainly for the food and service. Ivan is wonderful with such a positive attitude. We love the garlic edamame and the sushi options. Ambience is quiet and pleasant. Always easy to get a seat.

A cute spot for Japanese eats -- it's a fairly unassuming spot tucked into the Silver Creek complex, but is cute and bright with Japanese and SJ themed decor. The service here is top-tier -- the servers were so attentive and nice! They were checking in without being overbearing and great at making recommendations, too. This restaurants has everything ranging from bowls to sashimi to sushi rolls, but I can only speak to the latter. We got Spicy Garlic Edamame to share for the table, highly recommend. I loved all the rolls we tried -- we got the 49er Roll, Mt. Hamilton Roll, and Veggie Tempura roll and everything was SO. GOOD. I loved that they had vegetarian options (and even offered to leave off a sauce to make something vegan if needed), and all the dishes were great to share. The crunchy topping on the rolls was super unique, and easily one of my favorites -- I would love to come back to branch out to non-tempura rolls too. I'll be back!

Gin Ga was a small, cute restaurant! The service was amazing and the server was super kind about adding extra things to our rolls/taking anything out for allergy reasons. The food was delicious. I love edamame in general, but getting both the spicy and garlic additions was worth it. The avocado roll and shrimp + avocado rolls were also great. Make sure to ask for a side of spicy mayo to top everything off. 10/10 place and hoping to go back soon.

This is our favorite sushi place around! Everything is super fresh and delicious! Our kids always request to come here as well. Our favorites are the crunch roll, caterpillar roll, tuna on spicy tuna roll, edamame, and chicken teriyaki. We love coming here, especially with the warm welcome and service. It's sad to see this place has a lower rating than it should just because of their hours. Check this place out!

Yvonne is the best! She always goes out of the way to bring in new sake for us to try, which I love. I always look forward to seeing what new suprise she has in store. My favorite is their side salad. The salad dressing is their own concoction, and I'm serious they should sell it by the bottle. Try their famous Mt. hamilton roll or opt for a delicious bento. Enjoy!

UPDATE: This is the only place I trust eating raw fish ! Each time is better and better and our beautiful host is so informative about each roll and option on the menu.As always the place was so clean. And the service is top notch!!

Yeah, top tier service, trash tier food. It's a shame that I can't review this local business higher.I ordered a combo plate with the Chicken Teriyaki and the Spicy Tuna roll. The food took quite a while to come out so I was expecting something fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, the chicken teriyaki was tiny and bland. The portions were highly disappointing given the price. I mean, I'm used to getting ripped off at Japanese restaurants, but this was on another level. Also, the bowl of rice that came with the meal was terrible. You could tell that the rice wasn't fresh. It wasn't even hot!The Spicy Tuna roll is not even as good as the grocery mart sushi you can get at New Seasons next door lmao. The hours here are rough too. Only open for a brief window in the evenings for dinner, and not open every day either. The service was amazing though, shoutout to the lady running the show. She asked me if I wanted to change the channel on the TV when I sat down. If anything maybe she was a bit too nosy but that's just me being an introvert. Super friendly service.Looking back, I probably won't come back here, the hours are inconvenient and the food was uninspiring and not worth the price or wait. Enough talk.

We ate dinner here for the very first time. Decor is very nice. It's family owned and run by the family Yvan and Jocelyn our servers were such warm and welcoming people that right from get go we felt very good being here. Their complimentary green tea (toasted rice flavor) was super good! Perfect thing for a cold day. They brew it fresh and bring you a kettle and keep filling your cups throughout. It's a perfect pair for the meal. We tried their California rolls, spicy salmon roll,California avacado rolls, sashimi, edamame starter, miso soup and all were awesome!! This will be our frequent dinner spot. Will surely come back for a great food, cozy and warm ambience and truly amazing service.

This is one of the few places close to our house in the Evergreen area. We reached the place and stood at least 15 minutes to be seated , the restaurant was half empty . The waitress kept on saying 2 mins and tried to ignore us at every eye contact. I can imagine they might be short staffed or too busy, but seating a customer is a 30 sec thing. Not sure how the food would have been but the customer experience was absolutely unacceptable.
