Really enjoyed our dinner! The staff were very nice and attentive. Our food was very good, and the portions were decent size. We really liked the Peking spareribs and tomato beef Hong Kong style noodles. It's one of the few restaurants that we found in the area that offers Hong Kong style Chinese food. This unassuming little restaurant is a hidden gem.

We were in the area looking for a quick lunch spot and came across Golden House Chinese Restaurant. Located in a strip mall off Santa Teresa Blvd., it's a small, no-frills, unassuming restaurant serving Americanized Chinese food. We ordered a couple of lunch specials and they both tasted pretty good. Both were made to order and came out hot. The lunch specials included a cup of hot and sour soup. While we were there, customers were coming and going so seating wasn't an issues. Their menu is quite large providing all your typical food offerings. Price point is slightly lower than what we're used to. Portion size is good. Service was pleasant and friendly -- a nice change. If you're craving simple, quick, economical Chinese food, this is your spot. Much better than Panda Express.

I have been a customer of this restaurant for years,loved the food and the service. But for tha lad 6 months or so I noticed changes to the food the prices and service. The staff is limited on English and don'thave clue how to provide good service. Will rather give mu business to other local Chinese restaurants. Please be aware.

I have been going to golden house 20 years. The staff and food was great. But within the llast 2 months they are undernNEW MANAGEMENT and the good is NOT the same. The waiter lied and said it was the same chef. I started noticing the soup, to go containers and staff were not the same. I always got 1/2 & 1:2 chowmeib& rice with meal. They never charged me extra. Prices have increased also$$$ The new management did and never said anything. DO Not be fooled ! Find another place . Lost me as a customer

Let’s talk about their lunch special. It may be the best deal around, especially against chains like the panda X. you get freshly prepped dish plus rice and soup. so in many ways far superior deal. and it taste good. nothing to backflip over but its good, huge portions, and the broccoli was crisp, not limp. great meal in my opinion. check the video evidence!

Tried this place because its close to my house but it doesnt beat Great Wall Chinese food on Bird/Minnesota. Also, King Eggroll wings on story rd are still unbeatable. Ill stick to them, now i know they're worth the drive. Waste of $60 here.
