Came here 2 years ago and had the beat fish and chips of my life. Came today 2/17/25 and had the worst fish and chips ever. Bland fish and chips, hot sauce is terrible, would never come back.

Just got off work about 8:30 looking for a last minute dinner I saw this place though I'd try it. I will never order fish n chips from another place again! Instantly fell in love. Plates are reasonably priced, chill atmosphere, clean, & last but definitely not least the food was F'N BOMB!!!!! pardon the French but it's that good. If you're anywhere close to this fry joint (Within 100 miles) or just passing though San Jose then this is a must on the itinerary. It was closing time when I. Arrived and they still hooked me up with a smile on their face. Thank you guys for restoring my faith in the fry house!!!

This place makes great fish and chips. Vintage store in a strip mall. Not too many left in the bay area. It has a nostalgic feel walking in. Older signs...small place.

When I was growing up H. Salt Esq. Fish & Chips shops were everywhere. We used to have a night every week that was “fish night “ I had not eaten fish & chips before but it became one of my favorite meals. Now there is only this one location left. I’m glad I came across them, their fish & chips were just as delicious as I remembered and expected. Can’t wait to see them again!

Food was excellent. Had a 2 fish w/ chips basket, malt vinegar, lots of tartar sauce. Fish was fresh and very crispy. Chips were good. Tartar sauce was good. Hit every expectation I have when I want fish n chips.
