I enjoyed a very tasty soup I ordered. I was quite happy to be full and it was very easy on the stomach not bad for a first time here. Place is nice and clean doubles as a donut shop in the same space. Good service worker at the register. Answered one of my, I guess crazy questions it was answered I was kinda embarrassed to come out of no where. I was lead here from the street. I was walking in the side walk heading to the light. When suddenly I smelled a wonderful aroma of BBQ. So I followed my nose till I just walked right in after looking at the menu they had on the window. Made my selection and win for us good. Guys who live on one ramen soup a day. This was like an upgrade power up win! I'm out come here just follow your nose.

Spot was good. I ordered two spam musubis (one spam and other Portuguese sausage). I feel like the ratio of protein to rice was perfect. Service was good. After ordering at the counter, the food was brought out to the table. They have a lot of items I'm on their menu that looked good. Will have to come back and try more.

So I walked into this restaurant out of desperation because the Japanese restaurant next door had a waiting list that was far too long and I was on my lunch break. First off, the curb appeal of this place is absolutely unappealing. There was nobody in the dining room so that's an automatic bad sign. But as I mentioned, I needed a place to eat and quick. I ordered the barbecue short ribs and a diet Coke and the entire meal was over $20. For that price, I got two scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and some mediocre barbecue short ribs on a paper plate with plastic silverware. For the price I paid, you think I'd get a little bit of a better meal. They really should consider pricing their food differently being that it's served as if you were going to a food truck. The next time the Japanese restaurant next door is over packed, I'll just go somewhere else to eat. I don't plan to come back to this place. The one thing I can say is the service was okay. They weren't overly friendly or they weren't bad either. That's about it. But this is definitely a one star spot. I also find it a strange combination that they are paired up with the donut shop. Kind of weird.

I love this place! Or at least I did for a long time. #1 BBQ chicken plate was my go to!! I moved away a few years ago and was excited to try an old favorite. Worst case of food poisoning I've had. Avoid LIKE THE PLAUGE

I really like Loco moco and BBQ. I was excited to find a place that had both! They tasted great and price was so much cheaper than expected and they have good, hearty portions! I was amazed.

As a family who frequents Hawaiian Drive inn and L&Ls, we weren't too sure about this place but decided to give it a shot since it's been around for a long time. This is a great neighborhood spot to get a quick bite! This review is solely based on their musubis. You can choose a mixed variety of 5 musubis for $15.50 which is a great deal for the amount of food you get. The size of the musubis are good. Makes for an awesome snack on the go and very convenient for kids to enjoy! Spam musubis are our usual go to thing to order but we discovered that the Katsu musubis reign supreme here! They were so good we decided to order a plate as well. It did not disappoint! We look forward to trying out their other Hawaiian plates next time. The service is also friendly!

Kalua was too salty & Mac salad was bad. Please put your Mac salad in the the fridge because it’s very warm inside your donut/food joint to leave it out in the walk. Mahalo nui.

Pleasantly surprised ? just a hole in the wall mom n pop but pretty good food. Pig n cabbage had a nice kiawe smoke to it , could use a touch more meat but was pretty darn good for some off island bbq. I'd be back anytime.

Great place with super value for large portions. Family owned and never been disappointed over many years

This place has been my family's favorite for a few years. This is a family owned business. The prices are excellent for the portion sizes... they also serve Chinese food with rice and Mac salad combos that you can't beat! We usually call for pickup and the woman who answers is always kind to accept changes that we may need for any orders. It needs a bit of updating inside, but other than that it serves the perfect place for a quick fix for any family to-go lunch/dinner/catering.
