Outside appearance is really bad. Rooms ok and important bad room clean and spacious. The room itself does not appear clean and due to how appliances are located it is a proof they cannot clean it thoroughly.
What a disgrace. They Are part of Hyatt yet they don't offer breakfast to Globalists. Offers 500 pts as ' compensation '. What can you get for 500 pts? Not even a Starbucks for one. You want the name recognition yet won't follow corporate t&c for being part of their umbrella.
The hotel is extremely outdated, and staff not adequately trained. When I opened the curtains in my room, I had a view of....the bar. I went back down to contact the clerk and was reassured the bar would not be open until after I checked out (Thursday). Not true, it started that day. After several calls that night, I was finally moved. This hotel may have been good 40 years ago, but not today. Lunch and dinner options were okay but breakfast ended up being Starbucks every morning. Horrible location.
Disappointing in every level. No food service at the hotel…any day at any time. A much-promoted jazz bar had no music, then shutdown without notice during our short (two night) stay. Staff was pleasant but bare bones. Room comfort and amenities were below average.
Impeccably clean foyer area and rooms. Wonderful counter staff, especially Nadia. The one take away was that there was dining area at the hotel for breakfast or any meal. There was available area to offer at least breakfast. We did have to get used to the frequent low-flying flight traffic over the hotel. Initially, we were very concerned that planes were out of control!!
It was so difficult to sleep because of the outside noise coming from the streets. They need to insulate their windows at the very least. I couldn't sleep at all because of the yelling and sirens and horns coming from outside.
Super easy walk to restaurants and to the SAP center where we watched a Sharks game. Love the architecture and the small boutique feel of the hotel. It's not fancy but has charm and was clean. It felt more personable than most, which I like.
We were in town for a 49ers game and this hotel was perfect. It is in a very safe part of the downtown and just around the corner from plenty of restaurants & bars. It's only a few blocks walk to the VTA light rail to hop on for the stadium. The hotel is older, but the room we were in was updated, nice, and clean. They gave 2 complimentary waters in the room for coffee, which was so nice on a hot day. There are blackout curtains and the windows are sound-proofed/double pained. So I had a great night's sleep. We didn't go to the coffee shop or the bar, so I cannot comment.
From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with champagne, a chocolate, and a complimentary room upgrade. There was someone to help me with the door every time I entered, the room was impeccable. I've stayed at fancy hotels, including premium Disney resorts, and this small hotel in San Jose provided great customer service. It really pays to be a Hyatt loyalty program member!

A hotel with history but in need of a little TLC. I was given a large, spotless room—but the carpet was worn, drapes not quite attached at the corners, lamps over the bed in need of adjustment, etc. Overall good, but with a little refurbishment could be great.
The music that they played on was so great we can't help to dance with it. The waiters were so attentive in giving our orders. The bathroom was so clean and smells so good. The place was so big and not so crowded. We will surely visit this bar again.
Very poor service lately. I don't know why. Seems to have gone downhill after the restaurant closed. Great music, just don't put much stock in the waitstaff.
Amazing lounge. Great service. Be sure to check out their live music!
If you can get in, It will be one of the greatest experiences of your life. You need to have a negroni among the skyline here at sunset, life changing!
