I did not enjoy this restaurant, menu, food, etc. Maybe it just isnt for me but the menu is limited and the two soups we tried were not anything I would ever try again. Imitation seafood, underdeveloped broth, and even the white rice wasnt cooked properly.

Soup based is bland which makes everyone else don’t taste good. The dipping sauce doesn’t make things taste better either.

I love the curry pot here! The free tea is also much better than I expected. Very reasonable price. The curry pot itself is mild and go great with white rice.

We have been here 3 weekends in a row. The hot pots are consistently flavorful with good portions and reasonably priced. Complimentary green tea is served right after ordering. Stinky tofu is very tasty. It reminds me of what I had when I was a kid. Best in the Bay Area.

If you like tasty pot, then this is a good alternative. Not as busy and can always find a table. Avoid any seafood items and just stick to beef or lamb and you should be good. The soup takes forever to boil is the annoying thing.

The soup is watered down. Basically just salt and spicy. It has half a pot of instant noodles, very little meat and other things.

Very good soup. Added corn and noodles to my soup.Very tasty broth. The fire was off on their soup. Good amount of meat, shrimp, and seafood.Need to come back for another try. It was the pictures.

First time here! My party and I arrived around 8:30 pm on a Monday night, so not many people but busy enough to have the servers walk through the dining floor consistently. The ambience is nice with the bright neon lights and mural paintings on the walls. Interesting idea that this restaurant has in ordering at the table with a QR code that links to their menu and a cart for initial orders and additional items. I was confused and astonished about this system since I've never experienced it before! As for our order, we got popcorn chicken as our appetizer and Taiwanese hot soup. The appetizer was delicious, light, crispy, and flavorful. I still give the chicken a 10/10 despite it coming after the soup. (Would have been better to have at first to whet our appetite). The soup itself was great for a cold night, with plentiful toppings of vegetables, meat, and other toppings. The broth was not that salty. Another plus is that the location provides complementary jasmine tea in these adorable plastic bags!Would come again to try the other soups on the menu!

1 - Aesthetic (overall environment, food decoration, etc.): clean, fresh, soft music, really chill. Food decoration is okay, not much to say for the hot pot. However, everthing is “to-go”. Appetizer, sides are in to-go box. Even worse, they give us the lids to use as places. Kinda “ehh”. So, I think half star is fair.2 - Price: It’s debatable but I think it’s quite high compared to other restaurants in the area. Google says it’s $ but I think it should be $$. Another half star.3- Taste: Nothing stands out but good enough for me. We got the salted tofu, beef hot pot, miso soup pot, cucumber pineapple drink. 1 star.4 - Service: The waiter and waitress are nice but hasty, which not my type. To me, it’s kinda uncomfortable. Besides, the order is done on our phone, not much interaction. Half star.5 - Personal: Good time here. The teas with entrees is the plus. 1 star. So 3,5 rounds up to 4.

When compared to other Taiwanese hot pot style places, Hey Pot ranks average. In other words, there is little in the quality of the food that makes this place stand out. The one thing it has going for me is it's closer than the other hot pot places, which are about 30 or 40 minutes away. Hey Pot is 23 minutes away.My friend put it best when they said Hey Pot's stinky tofu must not be very good if we cannot smell it in the air. In other restaurants where the stinky tofu is delicious, you can smell the aroma of fermented bean curd lingering in the air, much like the scent of a beautiful woman who walked past you minutes ago. They have a peculiar way of doing things that I wish they would eliminate. You order through a QR code that takes you to an online ordering system. They do not provide a WiFi access point, meaning you have to either use your own data plan or Aqui's WiFi AP. You even have a lame option to request service through your phone. This one made me laugh. Are they so devoid of soft skills they don't even want to check on how you're doing? Why yes! During the hour we were there, they checked in on us zero times. This means service sucks. BIG TIME.Spicyness warning ⚠️: The online ordering system had an option of ordering non-spicy pots. Both our pots came out spicy even though we both ordered the non-spicy options. When you're ready to pay the check, you have to walk up to the counter. They provided a paper receipt long before we finished our hot pots This is why I said their ordering system is peculiar. It seems they go out of their way to be contactless but then ask you to speak to a cashier to pay the check with a paper receipt. You cannot pay via the QR code on your phone. Their site specifically requests you speak with the cashier.Would I revisit? Probably. Just know what to expect when you show up.

Love this place, been here many times. I usually order one pot and share with my son. Today we got the thai tom yum soup. It was very good we ordered a lot of extras. They will also add more broth if you ask. Also, ask them for a new flame if it goes out. They also have sides like sweet potato fries, but we did not order them today, but have in the past.

If you don't have the time for the complicated usual hot pot, you can go here for a quick individual hot pot when you don't have to think about a bunch of small dishes you want to order to put in the hot pot. Your individual hot pot come with pretty much everything in it already and you can eat it like a big bow of noodle soup or add more stuff as you wish, but that can be too big of a bow for one person. It was kind of fun to eat here with my coworker. We can focus on conversation and casually eat our lunch together. The hot pot isn't the best, a lot of imitation stuff (imitation crab, imitation fish ball, random hotdog/sausage, ...) Not the usual hot pot when you dip fresh vegetables and meat but okay for the quick one and you have a bit of everything in there already. I bet you can do the traditional way here too but still the soup quality and meat are just okay.
