What a wonderful team. Very kind hospitable staff who promptly greeted me upon entering and helped me customize the exact meal that I wanted, mainly the absolute spiciest chicken momo they could make hee hee! They definitely delivered! Spicy in the winter makes me feel like that germs stay away… very good quality and the quantity is just right! Come support them because they deserve the business!

Loved the aunthentic Indian Nepalese food. All the food was amazing. Authentic chicken momo and momo sauce. You don't know how is original momo sauce until you taste it here. Noodles was very yummy too. Missed nepali/bihari saag this time.

Ambience was good and it was quiet inside probably because I went on a weekday. Tried indo Chinese food like gobi Manchurian, veg momos, veg chow mein and veg fried rice. Everything was tasty except fried rice was bland. It's expensive. Paneer dishes are around $19 which is way higher compared to some of the restaurants in Sunnyvale. I wish they reduce the prices.

We had dined in around 7 after we had done shopping at the west gate. We ordered kadai paneer, biryani, naan.

The ambience was calm with nice lights.
We loved the kadai paneer. The quantity was good for 4 people but not large enough. The gravy masala is authentic kadai masala. I have been to many indian restaurants, this gravy stands out.

Naan were soft. The biryani was ok it had different flavor.

We had a 12.99 dollar weekday lunch special. We have a choice of meat and it's delicious. We also ordered samosas and a few other things, and it was warm and very delicious.

Food was not nearly good enough to justify the high prices and the restaurant was a bit dirty. Garlic naan was really bad and way undercooked.

Their curry is so rich with spices it really warms you up on a cold day. Our go to Indian spot when taking out.

I have been here twice in the evening and it is rather quiet. The space is nice. I enjoy the murals and decor. The spicy chicken is very spicy. I like the Kothey (panfried chicken) momo ( ordered that twice). They are very consistently tasty with good chutney. The chowmein is also good.

Came here looking for a good paneer and I found it. It was pretty empty when I came and the service was good.

Really good momos, tandoori momos and chilli chicken. As close to authentic Indian/Nepali flavors as you can get.

I was charged $15.99 for an item listed at $11.99 on their website, with the explanation that the menu online wasn’t updated. When I brought the order home, the accompanying sauces were missing. On calling to request at least a refund of the price difference and to point out the issue, I was told to bring the entire order back if I wanted any adjustment. When I clarified that this was a courtesy call to provide feedback, the call was abruptly ended.

The handling of the situation felt dismissive and a mockery of customer service. Between the incorrect pricing, missing items, lack of accountability, and rude customer service, I can’t recommend this place. There are too many restaurants that value their customers to waste time here.

We visited Himalayan Magic Masala in San Jose for the first time with our family visiting from Canada, and we were all blown away! They said it was the best Nepali food they've had so far, and we completely agree. The butter chicken, momos, pani puri, tandoori chicken, and especially the butter naan and lacha paratha were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We’ll definitely be going back!

If you’re searching for the true taste of the Himalayas, look no further than Himalayan Magic Masala, tucked inside West Gate Mall. This hidden gem serves up authentic Nepali and Indian flavors that will transport your taste buds straight to the mountains of Nepal.

From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles. The customer service is exceptional — friendly, attentive, and passionate about the food they serve. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, the team makes you feel like family.

Now let’s talk about the food – absolutely sensational.

🔥 MOMOs (Dumplings): These are hands-down the best momos in town. Perfectly steamed or fried to golden perfection, the filling is juicy, flavorful, and seasoned with Himalayan spices that linger beautifully on the palate. Their spicy achar (sauce) is the real deal — bold, tangy, and addictive.

🍛 Goat Curry: Rich, rustic, and incredibly tender — the goat curry here is a masterpiece. Cooked slowly in traditional spices, each bite is a burst of deep, comforting flavor. It pairs beautifully with steamed rice or freshly made naan.

🥘 Nepali Thali: A stunning presentation of Nepali culinary tradition. You get a little bit of everything — lentils, vegetables, pickles, meat, and rice — perfectly balanced, beautifully spiced, and made with love. It’s a complete meal and a cultural experience on a plate.

🍜 Chow Mein: Stir-fried to perfection with just the right amount of smoky wok flavor, their chow mein is fresh, loaded with veggies, and seasoned with Himalayan flair. Simple, satisfying, and incredibly delicious.

Whether you’re craving a comforting thali, spicy momos, or a hearty curry, Himalayan Magic Masala delivers magic in every bite. It’s more than just a restaurant — it’s a taste of home for many and a delightful discovery for those new to Nepali cuisine.
