This is an island themed small little restaurant/bar in the middle of San Jose. this restaurant serves a variety of island themed food, beer and wine. They do not serve hard alcohol despite saying that they are a bar. That means you won’t be able to cocktails that aren’t made with wine as a base. Hoping to get a Mai Tai, and were disappointed. The food here is good, but if you’re planning on drinking anything other than beer or wine, do not expect to find anything here. The parking situation is decent. You’ll probably have to park two blocks away because this is a busy downtown area. we were only able to find parking that allowed for one hour but this is also closest to San Pedro Square and there is a large parking lot there.Overall, I recommend coming here if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or want to stop by for a beer or two. if you’re looking for restaurant experience with cocktails (something a Bar would have), you might not find it here

Absolutely delicious Hawaiian/Filipino food! I tried the Sisig, garlic rice, bayrito, poke nachos, and they were all amazing. It was busy so food took a bit to prepare, but there was also $5 cocktails for happy hour!

?CHICKEN ADOBO OMELETTE $17If you like sour food you might like this very typical Filipino dish! Vinegar cooked omelette rice! When it was served, it was really fragrant and appetizing! But I personally don’t like vinegar very much, so the taste doesn’t quite suit me.?DA SITUATION $13I like this very much! It’s a dish that’s perfect for brunchI like the crispy texture added by the tots inside~You can choose the meat according to your preference. We chose Lechon roast suckling pig.?SPICY GARLIC SHRIMP $19Seeing this makes me miss the food trucks in Hawaii.Their seasoning is good and the garlic flavor is less intense compared to the Hawaiian food truck. The problem is that as someone who grew up by the seaI think its shrimps are not very fresh (the meat is not firm but soft)

If there were 10 stars, I woule give this spot 10!! I absolutely love this place. I've been a fan from the time they had started as a food truck. Congratulations, and keep doing what you're doing, everything was exceptional.

Service and vibes here get 5 stars! Everyone working was super friendly and welcoming (and hilarious). It's a causal vibe bar, but was kid-friendly during dinner time. The food here is good, it's solid. They offer appetizers, bowls, and more. My favorite items were the lumpia and the bayrito! The bayrito is huge and packed full of tots and meat (I had the kalua pork). The bowls were all good looking and the portions are generous. Overall, a solid spot for bar-like food.

Have bar seating for 5-6 people. Table for ~15 people. They make food very fast. I recommend sandwiches, it's big size for the money I actually couldn't finish my dish. No regular ketchup but have banana ketchup. I rate 5 stars because music playlist is bomb

I went expecting sub par feelings about filipino food in the south bay. You usually see everyone flocking to rene rose, jolibee, goldilocks, barrio fiesta etc. This place is very much a hidden gem. Its not your average filipino restaurant, american/filipino fusion. Lumpia and chciharron for apps. brought back memories. We had da situation with tocino and longanisa bowl. Vibe = chill; food = ????

Rename your restaurant "Manongs Bar and Kitchen" cause there's nothing Hawaiian about this place. At least y'all spelled poke correctly so mahalo for that. Two stars for making me pay for parking with your misleading restaurant name. Hūpō nui!

I came here Saturday night after a bad experience at a previous restaurant and I am so glad that we stumbled here last minute because this experience completely turned our night around. This restaurant was very warm and welcoming, we were greeted by the chef upon entering. We sat down and ordered the Lechon pork tacos, rib loco moco, ahi tuna nachos, calamansi juice, and a side of garlic rice. The food came out pretty quickly and when we tried the Lechon tacos it was a flavor explosion in our mouths, very unique and perfectly balanced and the pork was a perfect combination of crispy and soft. We were noticeably mind-blown by how delicious it was that the chef took notice and we had some banter back and forth about how great we thought his cooking was. The rib loco moco was also incredible, the beef was so soft, buttery, and had a melt-in-the-mouth texture and the gravy was not too overpowering in the dish. My Ahi tuna nachos were served with crispy wonton wrappers as the chip which came as a pleasant surprise. The tuna was the star of the show though because it was the freshest fish I've had in a while and it was so soft. Calamansi juice was amazing as usual and was refreshing paired with salty foods. Whenever I eat Filipino I like ordering extra garlic rice so that I can eat it the next day with fried eggs for breakfast so I was looking forward to that as well. My entire experience here did not disappoint, every thing we ordered was a 10/10 although the Lechon tacos took the lead. I've never ordered such a wide spread of dishes where everything was great so this is now one of my favorite go-to spots in the area. My boyfriend and I already agreed that this is the spot we're going to take friends and family when they visit us. I would definitely recommend stopping by and trying it for yourself!

We came here twice! First time, I took my bf and family here for his bday back in Nov. Second time, just bf and I before a comedy show! We loved the pork sisig! It was crispy and has a kick to it! Our absolute fav! I really liked the rib eye tapa (bistek). We also got their halo halo! It was missing flan lolol Service was great and quick to bring out our food

Such a fun date night experience! We went out for a casual, but different date night and had a great time. Chill vibes, super good food and such great service. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

I might be a little biased due to my heritage, but I can see that as an expert opinion.Atmosphere in this little hole in the wall is on point. Great customer service, Yada Yada. The main thing you are wondering is how is their food?I grew up in Hawaii most of my childhood and I can proudly say that these guys made me feel like I was at home again. The sigsig I got was the perfect blend of juicy and crispy pork. The garlic rice was amazing, just like the presentation of the food. Definitely coming back, and often.

Spent ages looking for this place. Apparently they have moved several blocks right next to City Fish restaurant on 30 East Santa Clara st, between first street and second street. Windowless hole in the wall, noisy, and tables sticky. Service slow, and I noticed most of the soft drinks on the fountain dispenser were empty. $17 rice bowl with bbq chicken was very bland, so bland that wife had to add some sweet and spicy sauce to liven things up. The $18 tapa rice bowl with rib eye was totally overwhelmed with vinegar, drowning in it. Cook must have used tablespoons instead of teaspoons of vinegar when cooking the item. Almost inedible. At least the mac salad was good, not too much mayonnaise, and still tasty. Sketchy area with homeless in the corners. Would advise females not to come here alone at night. No wonder they close at 830pm.

Food was great. Love the garlic shrimp and rice. Quick and fast service with friendly staff. Ambiance is great with their own house music. We will be back again when we visit SJ!
