I had the rasta pasta with jerk chicken, and it was full of flavor! The chicken and pasta complemented each other perfectly, and the cucumber salad on the side was refreshing. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot!

Mark, the owner, was a great guy and the food was phenomenal. He even gave my buddy and I a sample while we waited for our BBQ and Jerk Chicken. The food came out surprisingly fast too. Atmosphere was really nice too with beautiful artwork and ambiance. I will without a doubt be back for the food and service. My wife is an event planner too and I’m going to suggest she work with Mark for her next event for catering.

Island taste has such a welcoming environment! The food was so tasty and the hospitality was amazing! The owner Marc was kind and my cashier Lauren was amazing. Loved this pineapple drink. Would definitely recommend!

As a Jamaican, I was very happy to find this place during my stay in San Jose. 2 day stay and I visited here twice, once for the the stew chicken, other for the jerk chicken, both 10/10 💥

Today(12/4/24) is my 2nd time in the row eating the Vegan Rasta Pasta. It was so good yesterday I had to come back today to the same dish but added the Jerk Tofu and Veggie Patty.

I've been vegan for nearly 8 years and it just keeps getting easier and easier to find options. I live down the street so i'm definitely coming back to try the other options soon!

Just came back lunch and ordered the Smile Jamaica. Very simple dish but so much flavor I love it!

Was ok but way to sweet

Island Taste is a homey Jamaican place. The food is delicious. Service is decent. I came in for lunch, and the tables were full of delivery food boxes. I wish the place had a nicer ambiance to eat and chill.
