Great tasting experience, went during the week so it wasn't crowded. Very nice atmosphere. Way walking distance to multiple restaurants, we took the time to let our blood alcohol level normalize!

Stopped here on our drive to NorCal and it was the perfect most relaxing little break. We opted for a table outside and was seated underneath the trees and it was just perfect. The wine flight and cheese board didn't disappoint. Highly recommend!

Cute little tasting room! I've always been a fan of J Lohr wine so when one of my gfs mentioned wine tasting here I immediately said yes! My friend made reservations online and pre-ordered our cheese platter. Upon arriving we were greeted with an awesome live music and since we've made reservations they saved us a spot in the main with the band. However, we opted for the small room in the back so we can catchup without distracting people around us who was there to listen to live music. Both my friend and I ordered the seasonal wine and we both loved it. The sauvignon blanc and the petite sirah were amazing! The cheese platter had a good variety of quality cheese. And the service was phenomenal! 10/10 for the service! Overall, we both had a great time and will return in the future.

July 2023 Update:Blake, the tasting room manager, has done a great job in creating fun and lively events. Wine and Cheese Fridays, food trucks, and music. As always the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Richard, Dana, Shelly, and Annette are all wonderful.Previous: Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent, reasonable priced wines. Tastings are still free-you can choose up to 6. On weekends, you can select the Cuvee's as part of your tasting choices. They also have events on many Wednesday's and Fridays.

An intimate setting! The places makes you feel like you are in Napa! This place is perfect setting for a couple, group of friends, mom & daughter or even for a single person who just wants to taste different great wines! Christine provided great service! Love their different tasting flights! The charcuterie board was great too!

We have been talking about wine tasting here and we finally made it here. We made online reservations for Saturday at 2:30pm for outdoors. Tasting is precharged on credit card and non refundable. When we arrived, there were people sitting at our table so staff had to have them sit indoors. There was only two tables for outdoor. But the door was open for the indoor seating so it didn't feel too unsafe. Its a small tasting room so there was only one other big table open that was indoors. Later, we saw a couple just sitting near the outside ramp to wine taste and some people were standing at the bar. So tables fill up fast. There's 4 indoor tables. We tried both the $20 seasonal flight and $40 legacy flight. Majority of the wine was bold and flavorful. The Sauvignon blanc from the seasonal flight was our favorite. Bold, fruity, and dry. GSM and Syrah wasn't bad either. From the legacy flight, we liked the Cabernets and cuvees. Some reds were somewhat earthy and some fruity. Malbec was tannic. Off menu, we got to try the Shotwell Cabernet (good), Pinot noir (good), and proprietary red (decent). They also serve cheese, charcuterie, chocolate platter. Christine was very informative and friendly. She took the time to answer our questions and tell us about the wines/winery. She was also humorous. We bought the Sauvignon blanc and the Pinot noir to waive the $20 fee. You have to buy 2 bottles of wine to waive the tasting. But you have to choose all seasonal or legacy wines.

Came here with friends during "Second Saturday on the The Alameda" this past weekend, where we were able to try a wonderful range of wines from the Winter Seasonal Wine Tasting menu (6 total, one of which was extra, not listed on the menu). Overall, we liked a lot of the wines we tried, the J. Lohr Gesture Mourvedre particularly stood out. And the staff offered free brownie bites to go along with our tasting (or perhaps part of the Second Saturday event). Either way, the service was excellent during our entire time at the venue. It was a fun experience, since my friends and I got to share great conversation while enjoying the musical talents of The Complements between 6-8pm, who performed duets of a lot of great songs I love including Livin on a Prayer, Dancing in the Moonlight, Disney classics like A Whole New World and Colors of the Wind, and even some Alicia Keys hits. Greg was awesome on the keyboard and guitar, and the duo (Greg and Aleesha) had really beautiful harmony and just charmed the audience with their vocals, creating a casual laid back atmosphere that I could appreciate. They even took song requests!Worth noting is that the outside of the venue is more alluring than the interior. I sent photos of my experience to two different people while I was there, and one thought it was a hospital waiting room, the other said it looked like a church community center of some sort, lol. Let's just say the setting is very oak-centric and very simple... but I guess that will allow you to focus more on the wine! Anyway, I love that they do special events, like "Wine & Chocolate" and "La Fenice Wood-Fired Pizza". And one of the workers informed us that "Second Saturday on The Alameda" will be a regular monthly event for J. Lohr (no reservation required)! Anything with live music is cool in my book :)
