The dim sum tastes good and service is pretty quick. Very close to SJC airport.

Pretty good dim sum with all the classics. Their lobster was also executed well. Our favorites were the large shrimp dumplings and pan-fried shrimp \\u0026 chive dumplings. Service was friendly and there wasn't a long wait for food. Prices were reasonable. Overall, we weren't particularly impressed but it was good.

Authentic Chinese food in a convenient location in the heart of downtown San Jose. Plenty of options and our food was tasty, but no lunch specials. Also, the appetizers came out last, several minutes after our main dish came out. So, better coordination on the food preparation would make for a 5-star experience next time. We surely would come back and dine there again, thanks to the quality of the food.

One of our go to spots for dim sum. Since the pandemic, they implemented the menu online and you just order via your phone at your table. I actually like this better because I think the dim sum is more freshly made compared to pre-pandemic when they serve whatever has been sitting on the cart. I only take a star off because there's always something wrong on our receipt (like an extra item or two). We always have to flag down a waiter to fix the receipt and if we weren't paying attention, we would always be paying more.

Don't go for dim sum. Dinner entrees are better. Service is bare and cold. Interior and furniture feel old and super ancient. Dim sum - Overall very greasy, heartburn-inducing, and not fresh. Fried shrimp balls - OK. I've had better at King Eggroll. Tasted old. Salt Pepper Fish Filet - Slightly chewy and stale. Stuffed Eggplant - Coated my entire food pipe with oil. Flavor was ok. XO Sauce stir-fried rice noodle rolls - Chewy, oily, and bouncy. Entrees Garlic broccoli - Much more luck here! Fluffy, comforting, healthy. Walnut shrimp - Always a hit. Next time try: Vegetarian sweet and sour pork Buddha Delight House special pan fried noodle Rock cod fish fillet tofu clay pot

We ordered dim sum through Doordash. Everything was actually not too salty like you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. The dish maw crab soup was actually too bland for me. The house fried rice, chicken feet, pan fried chives with shrimp dumpling, shrimp dumpling, siu mai, and bbq pork buns were good. The only complaint is that the dumpling skin's were too thick and not chewy.

Jade Cathay offers some of my family's favorite dim sum experience. All the classic dim sum options are great so whatever you are looking for is gonna be pretty legit. My favorites are the Shrimp Egg Pork Siu Mai, Beef Tripe Ginger Green Onion, Shrimp Dumpling, Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Pan Fried Golden Chive Dumpling, and Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls. I miss the cart ladies, but these days they have a sophisticated online ordering system so you can guarantee to get what you want, so I like that!

Delicious dim sum! We had an amazing assortment: radish cake, taro puff, and porridge/congee. We'll definitely have to come back for dinner!

An absolutely wonderful spot for dim sum that did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and very tasty, especially the tofu skin shrimp rolls with traditional sauce, they were absolutely delicious.

Delicious! This might be my favorite authentic Cantonese style restaurant. I am coming back to try out more dishes. Xo chow fun with pork jowl - Fire! Perfect Wok Hay, some loose jalapenos, juiciness from the pork jowl, XO sauce for depth. Must get! Pea Sprouts with fried tofu and mushrooms in sauce - Fire! Absolutely delicious. Salt and Pepper Squid - Appetizer. It's a steal for $9. Delicious. Perfect airy crust, garlic ball chips, loose jalapeno = happiness on the palette I forgot just how happy delicious and freshly made Cantonese food is. Cooking these items are not easy and it's a fading art. I will show my support and come here as often as I can to get the opportunity to continue tasting this deliciousness as there are very few authentic and good Cantonese restaurants in South Bay. It's especially even more rare to find in house made dim sum vs. being shipped in in frozen from mass production sites.

I order the soup dumplings , shrimp pork egg dumplings, honey walnut shrimp, and the beef chow mein. The beef chow mein had huge chunks of beef definitely worth your buck. Let me tell you from start to finish it was amazing. Wonderful tentative service and great ambience. Got to support local businesses.

I called in to see if they serve dim sum all day. A man picked up the phone and kept saying hello three times and I responded back each time. He hinged up on me. I called again and a lady picked up and answered my questions. She was very pol I went here with 3 other people. We picked the seats near the kitchen and and staff let us know it's near the kitchen. I guess people don't like eating near the kitchen? I don't know. I don't have a problem with it. We just wanted to socially distance ourselves from other tables. I guess we ordered a lot. We ordered fried shrimp balls, 2 har gow, 2 shu mai, chicken feet, tripe, rice wrapped shrimp, house special fried rice. The fried rice was really delicious. The dim sum was okay. Our bill came out to 98 dollars. I guess our servers mistook my crossing out for two items as items we wanted so I had them correct that. Service was good. One of the staff tried to adjust my seat.
