Despite being close to the good sushi place, they have terrible fish quality. One of those places that specializes in American sushi only.

Quite value for money for the bento. The ramen is not as good.

We ordered takeout today for about $90 dollars worth of food!

Sashimi is just ok, not too excited about it.

Both rolls we ordered are good. Kakuna roommate very spicy. The way we liked!

We played little house at home after we get home!

Kakuna Sushi is my go-to spot when I want sushi that never disappoints. We first tried it with their party platters for game night, and the sashimi deluxe box completely won us over. The chef’s selection is generous, fresh, and full of variety — every piece is a little moment of joy. When we’re in a salmon mood, the salmon lover is unbeatable, with fish so tender it melts in your mouth.

The space is small, but the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you get. It’s the kind of place you discover once and then keep coming back to, whether it’s for a casual weeknight treat or to impress guests.

This place is always a 10/10. You honestly can't go wrong with anything that you get here.

The sushi is some of the best sushi I have ever had and it always tastes as fresh as can be. The one roll that we always get no matter what, the volcano. It may sound like it would be spicy but its not! It's just a baked roll but is so good. Their Bento boxes are actually really good too and can't go wrong with them.

Service is always super quick here and super friendly people that work there.

Small little spot but its a cute date night place and even good for takeout if you need to.

Going here since day they're open. Taste of sushi with time become tactless. Do not know what happened... The bathroom could use cleaning.

Tiny store with the maximum of capacity of
36. Because there is a large party of 10, all the other tables got delayed to basically wait until the 10 got their full menu served. The bill was served instantly after we finished the last bite in the dish, while it took us 30 more minutes to wait until the dishes were ready.
Plus the restroom kept smelling strongly weird with an artificial odor all over the dining area.
The signal within the restaurant was constantly bad that my phone couldn’t load anything so we just waited boringly.
👇Top de- recommend dish in the below pic “Ragin Cajun”, smells like dead fish (been dead for days) soaked in water mixed with cheese and mayonnaise.

Ordered the Hellapeno roll. It was meh with a lot going on. I didn't expect cooked fish in there but something was cooked. The miso soup was also so so.

I’m vegan and there’s a lot on the menu that is delicious and affordable. I ordered to go and there quick and kind great service great menu and being a big Pokémon fan. I just loved their Pokémon themed restaurant and menu 10 out of 10.

I don't know if they changed the chef but the food we had yesterday was very bad compare to the last time we had it. For the food, the baked muscles and salmon kama came out not hot( room temperature likely, the salmon skin was floppy so we had to send it back to be cooked more). Sushi rolls tasted like the one selling in supermarket. The shrimp tempura batter in 49ners was very soggy and chewy and tasted old. And they totally forgot about the caterpillar roll that we ordered and almost charged for it if we didn't check the receipt. Service was mid, the table order after us have most of their food served before us. Overall, it was quite disappointing for the dinning experience we had this time, especially when they only had 3 or 4 parties at the time we were there.

The sushi here is seriously good - fresh ingredients, creative rolls you won’t find anywhere else. The Fuji Roll? Absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, even if the vibe inside feels a bit cramped and could use a deeper clean. It’s a small spot, so I’d recommend takeout or delivery over dining in. For the quality of food though, it’s worth it.
