Recommended dishes: Khaosan Thai Fried Rice, Green Curry with Chicken
My wife urgently needed to use the restroom, and even though I was literally on my way to purchase something from them as I was in the nearby grocery store at the register checking out grocery, they still refused to let her use the bathroom and said the bathroom was “only for customers.” despite them knowing that the husband (me) will come and pay. The front staff showed absolutely no sympathy or basic human decency toward someone in real need. Their attitude was rude, cold, and completely inhumane.
There are plenty of places that treat people with respect — this is not one of them. I do not recommend coming to this place. Just solely on this interaction.

Khaosan Thai: willow Glen / cambrian Thai Treasure
High Google ratings led us to Khaosan Thai on a Friday night, and this choice proved absolutely worthwhile. Arriving an hour before closing, we found a bustling restaurant with only a table or two available, always a reliable indicator of quality food and local popularity.
We ordered an ambitious spread: pad see ew, basil fried rice, red curry, and the intriguing Thai omelet with crab meat. The pricing hit that sweet spot of fairness, averaging around $30 per person, reasonable for the quality and portion sizes delivered.
Service was impressively efficient, with dishes arriving promptly despite the full dining room. The portions were perfectly calibrated, generous without being overwhelming, allowing us to enjoy the variety we'd ordered. What truly distinguished Khaosan was the kitchen's masterful restraint with oil. Too often, Thai restaurants drown dishes in excess grease, but here the balance was impeccable, allowing authentic flavors to shine through clearly.
The thoughtful condiment pairings elevated the experience further. The Thai omelet arrived with sweet chili sauce that complemented the delicate crab perfectly, while the noodles came with a separate chili oil that added depth and heat to the already delicious pad see ew.
When we encountered an issue during our meal, the staff's response was exemplary. Their professional, attentive handling of the situation demonstrated genuine commitment to customer satisfaction, a quality that distinguishes good restaurants from truly great ones.
Khaosan Thai has firmly established itself as another San Jose gem worth celebrating and revisiting.

Came here with friends for dinner and absolutely loved it. Every dish was served hot and flavorful — the aroma of Thai spices filled the table. My favorite was the Pad See Ew with chicken — the noodles were chewy and perfectly taste.
The Pad Thai was also amazing — balanced sweet, sour, and savory flavors, with fresh bean sprouts and lime on the side.

Ordered the pork neck, khao soi and pad Thai.
Pad Thai is sweet and the sour doesn’t taste like the tamarin sour. Chicken in the pad Thai have a frozen taste.
Khao soi the noodle and curry is not bad. The pork inside the curry basically taste and rubber and definitely frozen. Many of the slices are still attached to each other when it gets to my table.
Pork neck is good.
One more thing they charge 3% credit card processing fee.
A meal for two with tips around $80.

Food is good, just that the service is lacking. We waited more than 40 mins for our food without letting us know that the wait will be long ahead of time, hope the staff can approve.

I’ve been here twice, and this place never disappoints. The food is consistently great, and I’d definitely come back again. Parking can be a bit limited, and it tends to get busy during dinner hours.

This restaurant is extremely unfriendly to infants. Please, friends with babies or children, avoid this place! I’ve never had such an unpleasant dining experience.
At 12PM today, the two female staff members we encountered lacked empathy and were utterly rude. After a difficult and unpleasant interaction with one of them, we were finally about to sit down to eat when the other came over to harass us. Absolutely outrageous!

I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. Mam, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.
The food was absolutely delicious — you can really tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I especially loved Larb, kor mu yang, papaya salad and tom yum soup.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, a comfortable vibe, and top-notch service. I can’t wait to come back!

I have Celiac. Ordered Chicken Satay which was marked as Gluten Free. It came with what looked like regular bread. Checked with served and she said it was gluten free. Still not convinced, I went inside to double check and asked to see the label. She read the label but didn't let me see it. Then she made some calls and confirmed that it was indeed not gluten free, but instead of apologizing, insisted that they usually serve Gluten Free bread. Disappointed and won't go back.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant forces a 20% tip without giving customers any choice — completely disrespectful. A tip should reflect the service provided, not be mandatory.
On top of that, there was barely any service. No one came to refill our water or check on us. The only time a staff member approached was when we hadn’t even finished eating yet, asking us repeatedly, “Are you done? Are you done?” — which felt very rude and rushed.
The food itself was overly salty and not worth the price. Definitely won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
