Clearly the cook has never seen what a thepla is. I am not expecting uber authentic experience, but all they made was a ultra greasy thin 'rumali roti'.

We ordered food from Kokila’s kitchen for a party and had a positive experience. Food tasted great and they incorporated spice levels, etc. as per the order. They were also punctual and food was fresh and warm.

The idlies themselves are impressively light and fluffy, with just enough firmness to hold their shape but give way softly under the fork. They have a gentle mild fermented aroma typical of well-made South Indian idly — subtle, welcoming. The texture is one of the stronger points: each idly shows good steam, no signs of being overly dense or gummy.

On the taste front: the idly is pleasantly neutral — as it should be, allowing the chutney and sambar to shine alongside it. If you’re used to denser or heavier commercial idly, this version feels cleaner, fresher.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: Chicken 65 & Chilli Chicken at Kokila’s Kitchen

Kokila’s Kitchen style appetizers! The Chicken 65 is perfectly fried—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside—with just the right balance of spice and tang. It’s not oily, and the curry leaves and green chilies add that authentic flavor kick that’s hard to find elsewhere.

The Chilli Chicken is equally impressive—rich, flavorful, and coated in a glossy sauce that complements the tender pieces of chicken beautifully. It has that ideal Indo-Chinese balance of sweet, spicy, and savory, with a nice crunch from the peppers and onions.

Both dishes taste freshly prepared and seasoned with care. If you’re craving bold flavors and well-cooked chicken starters, Kokila’s Kitchen is definitely worth the visit!

The paneer came nicely cubed and held its shape; it had a gentle sear so the exterior had a little texture, which was good.
• The gravy was moderately thick and tomato-forward, with visible slices of red/green bell pepper and onions — making it colorful and visually appealing.
• On the flavor front: I’d say it leaned a little more mildly spiced than some of the more fiery versions I’ve had; if you like a strong heat punch, you might feel it’s a little tame. But if you prefer something balanced, this works well.
• The balance of vegetables to paneer was decent — enough peppers and onions to give texture and bite alongside the soft paneer.
• As a vegetarian main, it paired nicely with roti or naan and gave a satisfying meal.

The mutton and paneer pulav very flavorful and tasty. Highly recommend to try those.

I also gave a catering order for 20ppl, and all our guests loved the authentic home cooked taste for a competitive price around Almaden for Indian food.
I would definitely go back to them for future orders.

The half-tray arrived in sturdy foil catering pans with a separate lid, still warm when unpacked. The noodles were visually appealing: a mix of lightly golden stir-fried noodles, small bits of vegetables (carrot, peas, corn) and mild seasonings visible on top. It appeared that the kitchen understood “kids friendly” as meaning mild flavour, moderate oil, and familiar ingredients. The tray size seemed appropriate for a half-tray serving (i.e., a smaller scale than full tray) and was labelled clearly for the event.

This is review of online order placed through their website. I have tried their food in the past and it’s tasty. This is a takeout place and has no seating. I had a larger order placed few months ago in Sep’25 and although food was delicious, the order was delayed by about 40 minutes. I placed online order again today, Oct’25. After 30 minutes, received text confirmation that food is ready for pickup. I went to pickup and was told to wait 10 minutes. I waited for 50 minutes, no one at counter. I asked loudly for someone to come out of kitchen and cancel the order but no one came out to give food or update. I left without food or without refund. I will be disputing the charge with the Credit card.

Writing this only so the restaurant improves.
I ordered Vada Pav and Veg Biryani.

Vada Pav: Way too oily. The besan batter was thin, so all the oil got absorbed into the potato filling. Technique was poor, taste was okay at best. Honestly, a shortcut to cholesterol.
People saying vada pav is good, are not from Mumbai, they don't know what a vadapav tastes like, AT ALL!

Veg Biryani: This was NOT biryani. Just mixed vegetables tossed with plain white rice. No aroma, no biryani flavor, nothing close.

I still ate it because I was hungry, but given a choice I’d avoid ordering again unless there’s real improvement. I had high hopes but came away completely disappointed, and my Saturday dinner is ruined.

Giving 1 star extra only because I didn’t go to bed hungry.

Perfect Blend of Spices and Freshness!”

We tried the Chicken Manchurian and Gongura Chicken Pulao from Kokila’s Kitchen and were blown away! The Manchurian was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. The Gongura Chicken Pulao had just the right tang from the gongura leaves — spicy, aromatic, and comforting. Their fresh bakery selection is also impressive — the pav bread is super soft and the egg puffs are a must-try!

Flavor-Packed Biryani at Kokila’s Kitchen!
Kokila’s Kitchen never disappoints when it comes to Biryani. Whether it’s the Chicken, Goat, or Paneer Biryani – each one is cooked to perfection with rich, aromatic spices and layered with fluffy, flavorful rice. The meat is always tender, and the vegetarian options are just as satisfying.

The biryani has that perfect homemade taste – not too oily, just the right amount of heat, and served with cooling raita and spicy salan that complete the meal. You can taste the tradition and care in every bite. If you’re a biryani lover, Kokila’s Kitchen is the place to go!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
