Very elegant and convenient spot. They offer big portions and for affordable prices. We loved the meals a lot and the waiters were super affable and chatty. Will definitely recommend this spot.

Japanese food at this place - super tasty. Nice location to meet with family. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. This place has a cool design. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I liked.

I celebrated my graduation earlier this evening in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that it was a pleasant evening and the place was surely one of the reasons for the successful gathering. The waiters helped in a splendid manner, the food was extremely good and my buddies were very pleased. We shall no dout come back again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

I talked to the owner and was told Kubota has gone out of business. I'm so sad. I will miss this restaurant terribly...

Friends of ours recommended Kubota in Japantown. We had a wonderful Dinner for 4 before a Sharks Game on a Saturday night. We arrived at 530 (opening time) and very nice GM took us to our reserved table, waited on us, and took our order. We felt very special. The service was exceptional with our wine and water glasses never empty. The Miso Soup w Tofu was delicious and the perfect temperature. We also enjoyed the Miso Glazed Green Beans and the Edamame. We shared Lobster (delicious dipping sauce) Rolls and Spider Rolls as an appetizer which were delicious. Our Shared Dinner was outstanding and consisted of Lobster Tempura with delicious dipping sauce. We also enjoyed Ahi and Yellowtail Nigiri immensely. The flavor and freshness reminded us of our last Kapalua, Maui visit. The Green Tea Ice Cream finished off an excellent meal. All in 75 minutes. Kubota has a nice Wine, Sake, and Beer List too. We definitely recommend this fine establishment.

Delicious sushi, and great service. My only regret is forgetting to take pictures.

Have been eating here off and on for years and found the food consistently good. Love the chicken curry at lunch. This latest visit my group shared both edamame and gyoza, both well prepared. Miso soup worth savoring. However the sauce on the teriyaki chicken was almost watery. Very disappointing. This seemed an anomaly from my usual experiences. Good service but only because I caught the attention of an adjacent server to refill water. A fair sized parking lot.

Excellent service and food. The portions are very generous for the prices. They have izakaya and cocktails, as well as traditional menu items. The ambiance is very nice as well. We will definitely come back.

The fish here is always fresh and they have simple yet well rounded pairings for sushi. My go to here is the sashimi due to the quality of the fish. The fact that they have such a large non fish menu though is what keeps us coming back because my significant other doesn't like fish. The tofu hot pots are great, the eggplant is awesome, and they have a full bar in addition to a great sake selection. Tammy is usually our sever and she is so friendly and makes great suggestions. Really feels like home.
