A friend once told me that the best taquerias are often the small ones. Well, I believe I've found one of those hidden gems. A while back, a co-worker introduced me to this place, and just for fun, I decided to try their lengua (tongue) burrito. Interestingly, my co-worker, who is Mexican himself, isn't a fan of cow tongue in his tacos, but he thoroughly enjoyed his order. The burrito was delicious, and we both appreciated the unique touch of radish in their menu. The only downside was the parking lot, where someone was speeding out and nearly collided with the front of my car. Fortunately, there's now onsite patrol security to address such issues. One suggestion for improvement would be to relocate the menu bulletin, currently placed right by the window and over a table where people dine. It feels a bit awkward when customers stand beside me while I'm enjoying my food. Perhaps a more strategic placement would enhance the overall dining experience.

I've been coming here since I was a child and the food has remained delicious in all these years. My go to order is the super burrito de asada ? their salsa is also very savory and tasty. This is my proffered Mexican food spot! Definitely try it out at least once ? I'm sure you'll get hooked!

(Translated by Google) On Tuesday, June 27 of this year, I went to eat, I ordered a fried mojarra and they gave it to me raw, badly cooked, 30 dollars and 25 cents, bad service, the food is expensive and I did not enjoy it. I'm not going to eat again so be careful... it could happen to you. My husband and I went to order food at Tacos Los Tres Reyes but totally forgot they only sell tacos. Since we both were craving a burrito and was extra hangry, I panic search on Yelp and found this place. And I am so glad I did because this place was a total hidden gem. The restaurant was hidden in the corner with only a few customers and to be frank looked a little outdated. However I love hole-in-the-wall restaurants because those places usually serve the best homemade food. We waited for quite a while for our food since there were about four people ahead of us and only two people running the restaurant. The food is made to order, you can hear the meat sizzling and cooking in the background so I know it's fresh and worth the wait. Now about the food. Whenever we go to a totally new restaurant my husband and I always try to not set any expectations unless it's one of those restaurants that has been heavily publicized by social media or those fancy fine dining restaurants. Since La mejor Taqueria was neither of those, we had zero expectations. I ordered a carne asada super burrito with everything and my husband ordered the same but his protein choice was Al pastor. The first few bites of my burrito I knew this was totally worth the 25 minutes wait. The rice was very seasoned, the carne asada was flavorful and had bits of charred-ness/ gristle (my fav) to it and the pico de gallo with lettuce and a thin layer of refried beans makes this a solid 5 star burrito for me. I haven't had a burrito around my neighborhood that I can say is a solid 5-star until now. The only thing I didn't care for is the salsa that gave us but since we ordered tacos from Los Tres Reyes for some family members, we used their orange sauce on our burrito and it was fire. We will definitely will be back and try their other dishes.

I usually go to 3reyes for tacos until my cousin put me on this spot. This place is a hidden gem for sure located in our very own east side SJ. Cash is preferred for this place. I got the al pastor, lengua, asada and tripa tacos. I can def taste the quality of the meat and it is super yummy all together. One thing I would like to change is the sauce. The sauce is good, but it is not spicy enough. I will def be back to try other menu items :)

Rice kind of lack but the tacos and burritos were super good. Will be back for sure :)

Enjoyed the super burrito with chopped tender beef tongue and carne asada. The order came out fast! The only thing is that the price is a tad high for the dining experience- The four tacos and the super burritos and a fountain drink came out to $36 ish.

I was really craving tacos and I usually go to 3 Reyes but came here instead because the parking and line is was crazy over there. I always pass by this place and it's usually busy in the day, but it's tucked in the corner so it's easy to forget. I saw it had high ratings on yelp and booooooy. I'm so mad at myself for not trying this place sooner! The tortilla is nice and crispy and the meat is tender, juicy, flavorful etc etc all of that! Comes with a little side of rice and beans. Definitely my new go to spot
