We had onion rings which was awful! The steak wasn't that good and testy as before. But the burger and truffle fries still awesome and so delicious. And nothing suggested or recommended as we celebrated our baby birthday! If we have ever decided to go there again (not probably) will go only for burgers!
My first time, 1-24-26, was exciting. We were there for a birthday dinner and the food exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious and it was the first time I tried brussel sprouts and I loved it. Our waitress was great, and the atmosphere made me want to come back one day. I had the pan roasted chicken with a side of mashed potatoes. YUMMMM.
Our server/waiter Hector was very nice and pleasant; we enjoyed our dinner. We celebrated our 34 yr Anniversary, and I recommend LB Steak when celebrating a special occasion.
The meal was delicious except for one of the wagu steak that was over cooked when medium rare was requested. But the service was very good.
We've been coming here for many years, but unfortunately we were disappointed during our visit tonight because the food quality seems to be declining. My Maine lobster bisque was extremely salty, I could honestly feel my blood pressure rising. I even gave it to my husband thinking maybe it was just my taste buds, but he noticed it right away too. My husband's filet mignon was very dry. Even though he ordered it medium-well, we've had medium-well steaks at other places that were still buttery and flavorful. It also came without any sauce, which was disappointing for a steakhouse. It was also difficult to get our server's attention to request sauce. My drink was initially incorrect, but our server was kind enough to replace it at no charge, which we appreciated. Dessert was just okay nothing special. Overall, the experience was okay, but not what we're used to from this place. The lobster bisque in particular has been consistently salty during multiple visits, and I really hope the kitchen starts tasting and adjusting it.
Christina was our waiter. She was great. But I wanted to comment about the call back when they wanted the confirmations. They called me and I couldn't pick it up so there was a message; no problem there. The problem was that when I called back, the call somehow was connected to Left Bank, a different establishment in the area. I don't know if that call is then transferred to LB steak or that call is not needed, but was a bit confused. I ended up just giving up calling back, but seemed like I was confirmed upon arrival so not sure if that call ban was necessary.
I've dined here several times, usually for special occasions- Mother's Day, Birthday, etc. The Good The Wagyu Carpaccio is excellent The staff is friendly and very attentive The Bad It took what seemed like forever to get our cocktails. The appetizers came out before the cocktails. For the price, the Steaks were just "OK." I ordered the LB steak, and the size (14oz) was perfect, but it tasted somewhat over seasoned, so the natural meat flavors don't shine The prawns are not very large, especially at $5 ea as a compliment to the steak. They were probably about 20u size, whereas i was expecting (hoping) that i would gave a larger size prawn. This wouldn't be an issue, except there was no taste and they were somewhat dry and tastless. Needless to say, i was disappointed being that we came here on NYE. For a place that has steak in the name, i'd expect more.
The server was constantly not around. When we wanted to pack the food back, even the server was around, he did not take the initiative to come over to ask whether I need anything. It was other server who came over to help pack the food. Then after waited for a long while, the original server who served us came over to ask for whether we want any desert. We ordered dessert, could not finish them, we asked for boxes to pack. I expected the server should take the dessert back to kitchen and pack them for us, ti my surprise, he gave us the boxes for me to pack. This was not the level of service I expected from this restaurant at this price.
We were promptly seated by a smiling hostess. Dinner was excellent, LB steaks are always great! The truffle fries were so good we ordered extra! And the Brussels sprouts and the corn! Yum! We highly recommend Brian ( spelling? ), who gave us outstanding service, always on point, coming to check on us many times, and his support coworkers. We will ask for him whenever we return to LB steak!!
One time and done. So disappointing to order seafood at a steakhouse and they brought out bay shrimps. Those tiny little shrimps for your salads, not the kind you’d think they dip in batter to serve as fried shrimps tempura. But yet this place dipped the bay shrimps in batter for the appetizer. Lame Beef steakhouse! So many have blacklisted this place in my network.

I finally made a reservation at L.B. Steak on Santana Row, and let me tell you it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was modern, elegant, and warm… the perfect setting for a special night out. This modern American steakhouse is known for its hand-cut Prime Angus steaks and their incredible A5 Japanese Wagyu all cooked to perfection and packed with flavor.
First things first… you HAVE to order the LB Steak Bread Basket. It’s freshly made, warm, and literally melts in your mouth. One of the best bread baskets I’ve had in a long time.
We kicked off the meal with the Maine Lobster Bisque, followed by Brussels Sprouts, the Sautéed White Gulf Prawns, and of course, the Crispy Calamari every dish was so well-seasoned and delicious.
Then came the star of the night: the LB Signature Steak the Ribeye Westholme, Australian Wagyu with their house marinade. You guys… this steak was unreal. Juicy, tender, and full of rich flavor. You cannot miss this one.
And you know we didn’t leave without dessert. We went all in on an unforgettable dessert spread: Cheesecake, Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Almond Butter Cake, Chocolate Cake, Bread Pudding, and the Fresh Fruit Tart. Every single one was decadent and melt In your mouth good.
Every bite of this experience felt like a celebration. It’s elevated yet relaxed perfect for date night, birthdays, or anytime you want a truly amazing steakhouse experience. If you’re in the South Bay and looking for a spot that will impress, L.B. Steak is absolutely worth the visit.

The people of LB steakhouse are lucky that I had the most beautiful and kindest dinner date. Their dinning sins are as follows: 15 minutes to get the initial water (we were predictably thirsty), 15 minutes after that to get bread. The steak was not medium rare (the missus was not pleased). First bill did not come with the designated employee discount. Both the first and the revised bill came without a pen. A very nice fella and great food, but the service wasn't par for the course. Again, everybody involved is quite lucky my date was a dime.

Our experience was disappointing. The burger arrived rare even though we had ordered it well-done. The Bees Knees cocktail also seemed incorrect, as it had no honey—just lemon and gin. We weren't given a serving spoon for the side dish. Finally, despite being a party of two, we were seated only about half a foot away from a very loud party of eight, which made the dining experience unpleasant. Dined: Thanksgiving 11/27/25
