My visit to Lee’s Sandwiches in San Jose was a quick and satisfying stop for Vietnamese food. The shop has a simple, casual atmosphere and is usually busy with people grabbing takeout or a fast meal.

I ordered a classic bánh mì sandwich, and it was very good. The baguette was fresh and crispy on the outside while soft inside, which is exactly what makes a good bánh mì. The filling included flavorful meat, pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, cilantro, and a light spread of mayonnaise, creating a nice balance of savory and fresh flavors.

Lee’s Sandwiches is actually one of the largest Vietnamese sandwich chains in the United States, founded in San Jose in 1983 by the Lê family. It helped popularize bánh mì and Vietnamese iced coffee among American customers.

The service was quick and efficient, which makes it a convenient place when you want a fast and affordable meal. Besides sandwiches, they also sell pastries, drinks, and Vietnamese desserts.

Overall, Lee’s Sandwiches is a reliable spot for a tasty bánh mì and Vietnamese coffee. It’s simple, fast, and perfect for a quick bite in San Jose.

I bought a milk tea and asked for it with a little bit of ice and they gave it to me with a lot. I told the person I made it and they responded rudely and it tasted like sugar water 👎👎

I ordered a pate cha lua . It was done less than 3 mins. The bread and food was fresh crunchy. I really enjoyed the sandwich.

Old bread.

I came in at 6:30am and ordered the $.85 bread. When i got home, discovered they are cold and hard. These are suppose to be warm and soft. They sold me left over bread from yesterday.
