Poorly managed restaurant. Overbooked for the evening. We had a 7:15 pm reservation and were not seated until after 7:45 pm. The waitress was great but overwhelmed. Soup came out cold and one dish was forgotten. I chalk it up to the holiday and would hope they do better on a normal day.

Very Disappointing Thanksgiving Dinner Our Thanksgiving dinner at Food Left Bank in Santana Row was well below expectations. The food selection felt limited and poorly thought out for a holiday menu, and several dishes lacked flavor and balance. The overall taste was underwhelming, and nothing we tried stood out as well-prepared or memorable. For the price and the occasion, the quality of the food was surprisingly poor. The ambience also fell short. The music was ill-chosen for a Thanksgiving evening and created an odd, uncomfortable atmosphere. The restaurant felt unorganized, which added to an already disappointing experience. This was not the level of food or service expected for a special holiday meal, and it did not justify the visit.

Had a lovely experience here for Thanksgiving. We were seated outside and it was nice and quiet. Surroundings are beautiful this time of year... We enjoyed all the food and the waiter was excellent.

The Left Bank for Thanksgiving dinner was a lively, festive and busy holiday atmosphere. The fuyu persimmon salad with Medjool dates was nicely dressed and flavorful. The butternut squash soup with pumpkin seeds was delicious. Our roasted turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, orange cranberry sauce and roasted Brussel sprouts was excellent and a very generous serving. The squash ravioli and salmon entrees were not nearly as generous as the turkey dinner option. The pumpkin and apple pie desserts were pretty good, though a bit on the smaller side. The restaurant was quite busy, so service was a little bit slow at times but otherwise, very good.

The experience was good and so was the food, I did the Thanksgiving Dinner. The only thing that was not good about the dinner was the apple pie, it didn't taste good, however the pumpkin pie was very good.

We went for the Thanksgiving feast and sat at the table for at least 30 minutes before the server showed up. They were able to get us inside, which was nice. I do appreciate that. When we did finally start getting food it was tasty. However, the soup was not warm and the steaks while cooked properly were very charred and burnt tasting. The dessert was tasty. The “apple pie” was more like an apple tart, which is fine but then they charged us for ice cream when that was already included in the menu and had to be brought to someone's attention it was disappointing. I didn't want to cook. I wanted to be catered to and fed well for an $80 price fix menu and I was definitely underwhelmed.

Sadly the quality here has gone down and prices have gone down. Ordered the Steak Frites and the steak and fries were very salty. Service was good.

Used to be my favorite place in SR, but sadly they have cut back on their meals and salads are no longer what they used to be. Will be skipping it next time in favor of other options.

We went to celebrate our anniversary on a Tuesday evening. We sat for 10 minutes before a waiter came to the table. We had drinks but didn't actually get to order for 40 minutes. The restaurant was not crowded, but it was definitely understaffed for dinner. Ordered the cheese fondue. It was watery and a little sour, so we sent it back. The waiter apologized. My wife ordered the trout and I had the salmon. The waiter was very friendly, but overworked. He apologized profusely, and the manager came to our table and offered to give us the cheese fondue to take home. Additionally, when they found out it was our anniversary, they gave us a round of free drinks. Overall, the restaurant staff and manager were trying very hard to salvage the evening, and I appreciate the consideration. Our main meals were excellent. I give them 5 stars for recovery effort, but 3 stars for initial impressions and service. My wife and I will try them again, but with lower expectations. I hope your experience is better than ours. Bon Appetit!

Service was attentive without being overbearing. Server was professional, accommodating and friendly. Will definitely return.

Mid tier food, overpriced for what it is. Asked for private dining for a party of 8, was told it was booked. We were there for about 3 hours and the private dining room was available the entire time..... Fondue was runny, to which they removed it from the table and said they couldn't replace until after dinner. Steaks were all dry, salmons were over seared, almost burnt, drinks were ok, but not the best. The best part was dessert and even then, it's basic. I won't be returning, but it's worth a try if you've never been, maybe you'll have better luck.

I received an email from Left Bank for a Restaurant Week special. It listed a starter, an entree, and two drinks. The email then said 3course, + 2 drinks = $50 foodie steal. i thought it strange that the third course wasn't listed but went ahead and made a reservation. At the restaurant when asking about the special, the server brought a hard copy of the menu again without the third course. At this point i forgot about the third course mention, and ordered the item. Shortly after the server came back to ask which drink I wanted. This time I said even the hard copy didn't have an "or" between the drinks, so I expected both. She checked with the manager and when I showed him the email and hard copy, he authorized both drinks. Still nothing about the missing third course. In addition to all this the overall service was poor, with the server bringing the wrong wine for my partner who ordered ala carte.

It took about 15 minutes to receive the food and the service was decent. We ordered the Hanger Steak and the Prime Rib French Dip which both come with fries. The Hanger steak arrived cold, so it was not pleasant to eat. The French fries taste like the generic frozen French fries you get at any supermarket which was a let down. Since this is the main side dish, I was expecting home made fries (given the price) and a suggestion would be to be more creative with the ketchup than just serving the generic ketchup. My husband ordered the Prime Rib French Dip which he enjoyed, but we both left the French fries alone. We definitely left hungry and underwhelmed by the food.

We had very good service! Our server was on top of our cocktails and menu options . We started with cocktails that were amazing. We had an old fashion and a whiskey sour! We ordered the skirt steak and the halibut special. We got our order and for the steak was a bit over cooked and the fish was just bland. We had been there quite a few times but I don't expect we will return

I had one of the worst dining experiences here. The food was poor in quality, and the staff were unprofessional and unprepared. They had no knowledge of the event and even asked me, a guest with a reservation, if I knew the price of the event menu—highly inappropriate. Our first dish arrived after 30 minutes and contained fish bones. The main course chicken was overly salty, and water kept dripping from my glass onto my clothes. Despite having a reservation, we were seated in an undesirable corner, and when I raised my concerns, the staff ignored me. Truly disappointing service and experience.
