New dim sum place! I didn't want to splurge on a dine in place and decided to try this to-go mom and pop shop. Please note this shop is located by the Pho Kim Long so be ready to battle it out for parking. The shop it self is what you would imagine it to be - small with a couple tables for those who do decide to dine in. They also have a good variety of options. I chose the following - siu mai, hargow, 2 orders of shrimp rolls (cheung fun), turnip cake, shrimp balls, and taro cake. The food was decent but also didn't hit all the notes. For example hargow was falling apart and had a different gritty texture. I still want to love it and honestly it's a convenient area so I wouldn't mind getting this location if I needed a fix.

A good dim sum food to go place. I like their meaty, plum siu mai and the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf. Decent congee if you need some easy to digest when you are under the weather. The prices are not bad either. As of 11/04/2023, hope it is a renovation and not an out of business closure. If it is a renovation case, they should update their phone message and posting with an estimated reopen date.

This place looks like it's closed down 11/10/23 the windows and doors are covered. Lights off.

This is more an information sharing than review because they are now closed for renovation! And with no return date! So don't believe in the current Yelp info. Tried their turnip cake last time and it was good! The cake has good amount of turnip inside that you can see and taste, not so cakey with only flour. Their siu mai is huge and solidly filled with meat. I heard the "white sugar cake" is also good but I haven't had the chance to try it.

Good quality considering the price. Don’t dine in because there’s 0 customer service. Good for takeout.

Expectations for Li Yuan Dim Sum is that it's just a quick to go dim sum location. Quick in and out, don't expect anymore. The options are quite extensive and Li Yuan pretty much covers the full menu of options you'd find at a fine dim sum establishment. With your classic Har Gow, Sticky Rice, Siu Mai, Chicken Feet, Diakon Cake, and others, you're going to be able to find what you're craving. Li Yuan also seems to offer an extended menu of classic Chinese breakfasts, including preserved egg porridge and other baked goodies. With an ice fridge for you to buy in bulk to take home and enjoy, if you're a fan of classic dim sum, check this place out. Now, when I say it's a "to-go" joint, that's what I mean. Significant lack of chairs, no table side service, and all food pre-prepped sitting on a display shelf, Li Yuan was designed for a quick in and out. The food itself, not bad. Doesn't blow you out of the water but it's what you'd expect. Limited parking during the day as the Pho restaurant next door is always cracking, so visit early!Oh, and CASH ONLY! Cheers.

My aunt asked me to help her pick up some dim sum in this plaza. I've only been in this plaza for Pho Kim Long and never realized Li Yuan Dim Sum is a couple shops to the right. A little mom and pop shop ran by a few aunties and uncles. I wasn't sure when the dim sum lunch special starts/ends and the auntie behind the counter said it applies all day, open to close. A lunch special is $10.85 + tax; this includes about 3 items plus a side of porridge which I thought was a great deal considering the portion sizes. I went with the #4 (prawn rice rolls, shui mai, turnip cake, and fish fillet porridge) and #6 (soy sauce chow mein, shui mai, turnip cake, and preserved egg & pork porridge). The food was just a-okay, I've had better at dim sum restaurants but I guess I cannot compare them. I also got a separate order of sesame balls which I really liked.I would come back to support this small business but only will be getting the items I know are good and that I like.

Baked buns were delicious and affordable, but not enough filing in them. The bread/filling ratio was off.

They have a lot of variety like dim sum, bao, noodles, porridge, and etc. We like to come here for the cocktail bao but it's a hit or miss. Sometimes it is really good and soft, but other times it is on the harder side. Little bit disappointed. They also have egg tart - buy 5 get 1 free which is cool. They have frozen baos for cheaper if you want to get that and steam at home. I believe it is cash only.
