Meh. I tried this joint for one reason only: their attempt at an Italian beef sandwich. I grew up in Chicago and fell in love with this delicacy 50 years ago, in my adolescence. Back then, any neighborhood hot dog joint worth its salt served up this dish, most of them excellent and with little variation. It was ubiquitous and something we took for granted. And it's equally good today, not merely a rose- colored memory.
These guys? Not even close. And i mean, not a near miss, but a whole different thing entirely. No aspect of it - not the beef, bread, jus, or giardiniera - was on target. And what was served up wasn't particularly tasty.
Throw in the meager atmospherics and it just spelt... disappointment.
Mah, it was ok. Food was good
Pesto pasta was a bit salty, but flavours good and the mozzarella is a nice touch
Great spot for quick delicious Italian food. The bartender has a great voice!
Cozy little spot! Food is good, wine is great.
Very friendly stuff. Almost low key but good for dates and meeting with friends.
Met a friend here for lunch yesterday. First the location! Downtown under the freeway hell yes i feel like i walked into a time machine that took me back to 1970 Chicago. The atmosphere (see 1970 Chicago) The food.. These arent subway sandwiches, its the real deal, thin sliced beef with peppers and some sauce.. thats it, and its delicious. Fans of The Bear if you want to try the sandwiches in the show they are right here

Awesome staff and atmosphere, you can get stuff from the deli next door too. Best margarita pizza I've ever had. The vodka sauce rigatoni was amazing as well. Highly recommend.

Their shirts made me giggle
Joshua is awesome thank you for the darkest beer recommendation, exactly what I wanted, and he made sure too! You cannot beat $10 for their refreshing house beer and a slice of pizza!! We'll definitely be back here!!

Pretty awful food all around. We went there specifically because they served italian sandwiches until 6pm, according to their website. We were looking forward to trying this place for a while, too.
We got there at 5 and nope they said they wouldn't do it, and when asked, could not explain why. We ordered the one sandwich they were willing to make and it was pretty gross, it had a strange cinnamon taste not appropriate for giardiniera. I ordered a pasta and it was exceedingly mushy, and I think was reheated. My pizza slice didn't seem fresh at all and was probably reheated from hours ago too. It is merely Bibo's pizza anyway and would have been better at the regular Bibo's location.
The staff seemed disinterested and had a weird difficulty answering pretty simple questions like "what time does your wine store close".
I give the atmosphere 3 stars because if there were people there it might have been cool, but we were literally the only people there.
My glass of wine was good (the only thing we ordered that we really enjoyed) and they have some very interesting wines in the store. But in terms of being a restaurant, I would rather go to Olive Garden sadly.
I don't like having to write this review because it's a really good idea for a restaurant, with the mix of italian foods and pizza and the wine store / tasting, but they badly need to fix their problems.

Had dinner here recently. The place is nice and the service is quick.
We tried the cheese and truffle pizzas and they were both great, truffle being my personal favorite. It was delicious but not overpowering which is unusual for "truffle" dishes.
The caprese salad was a hit as well.
The pesto pasta (I believe it's called "The Sicilian") was not as good as I would've liked. Whole the ingredients were fresh I felt the basil was a little off (like from a plant that has flowered) so I didn't enjoy the dish and took most of it home where it sits in my fridge.
The meatballs were ok, nothing special in my opinion.
We also enjoyed two different wines that complimented our meal very nicely. I will definitely come back, maybe stick to the pizzas next time.

This is such an overdue post. My husband and I rented out the entire Littlest Little Italy for our November wedding.
We have been customers since the Enoteca days and we always knew this place was special.
Our wedding was incredible and unexplainable. Josh was great to work with and the food was out of this world. And, the wine pairing and speciality was unbeatable. Mike G is a master of his craft. To this day, our guests still talk about how “unreal” the event was and gastronomy experience.
Josh is a top tier vendor and has incredible attention to detail.
Don’t overlook this place! There’s so much opportunity and space and the food is great.
We continue to frequent and go to the events they host all the time.
Downtown can have nice things!

I love Henry's HI Life but there is now a Italian place across the street. The new owners are the owners of Henry's Hi Life and the other owner is Josh who buy the way is the head chief and WOW can he make YUMMY dishes. (OMG) I go over there with my friends and get the Meat and cheese platter. there is nothing like this in the Bay area and the Meat balls are incredible. They have great salads and really interesting appetizers. Some of them you look at and say what? But when you bit into them it's great and very special dishes. So check this out. they have Pizza by the slice and whole pizza's the menu is very special to say the least. During the day for lunch they have fantastic sandwich's, pizza's by the slice and other Yummy dishes. Now in the front section of the restaurant is a full bar with the most interesting beers. They even give you a tast to see if you like it. (Pretty cool to say the least). And in the back is where they make the food and a full wine bar and lots of seating. this is a classy place and very comfortable.Parking can be challenging when there is an event at the Shark Tank but you will not regret the experience at this place. I love there fettucine with Peso sauce and a Caesar salad and maybe a slice of pizza if I have room or share it with someone. This place is really clean and well keep up. This place is fun and not stuffy. Even arcade games over in the corner for the kids.I really think you will enjoy this.
