I was between a 3 and a 4, but I'm going to give Loulan the benefit of the doubt since they look new. I've ordered a couple of items (via work delivery), and I have to admit this is not a cuisine that I'm too familiar with. I have not eaten in the restaurant, and I'm not sure if this is even an option. Fried Noodles: There wasn't a lot of flavor, and they were incredibly spicy (great for those who want more "legit" heat). The portion size was quite good, but perhaps not great given the price point. I did enjoy the texture of the noodles themselves and how they were cooked (a bit more al dente) Meat Buns: These were quite delicious. The size of the bun felt quite large, and I enjoyed the taste of the filling. The filling was quite full, and it felt like they were not skimping on the filling. Also, despite being delivery, the pastry shell was still quite flaky which I enjoyed. Overall, worth a try to see if this is your thing or not and / or a good option if you're looking for something different.

I ordered dinner from this restaurant yesterday afternoon, but when I came back from get off work today, I found that it was not delivered. I called to ask and was told that this restaurant did not deliver at all. The whole family was waiting hungry... I don’t know if everyone has it too. Same experience. If it cannot be shipped, the customer should have been informed earlier.

Really tasty food at a reasonable price! If you get a chance, try to order at the restaurant through the owner/worker - they're very nice and personable (and you may be able to get a discount!)

This new spot opened up. It’s located inside a building called the “Culinary Block” inside a large parking lot for take away orders only. Overall, the price is good for the quality and quantity of food. I got the Northwest Lianpi noodles, Xinjiang Rice Noodle With Beef Shank, Meiling Congee, Homemade Yogurt, and Homemade Plum Juice.Liangpi: The noodles were soft and slightly bouncy with a nice chew to them. Very unique texture! It came with three sauces to mix into the noodles so you can adjust the spiciness however you like. The flavor was very balanced and it was easy to finish the whole thing without getting tired of the flavor.Xinjiang Rice Noodle: This dish was very flavorful and a little on the saltier side compared to the other dishes. Nice if you are into something heavier in flavor. It’s not as spicy as it looks and comes with a thick round rice noodle.Meiling Congee: This dish was pretty special, the flavor profile is very subtle but well balanced. I haven’t tried something like this before. It has a tiny hint of sweetness and has a bit of a nutty soymilk flavor and bits of lotus seed inside. Like a dessert porridge. Very tasty!Homemade Yogurt: This yogurt honestly has a phenomenal texture and I would definitely recommend it! It’s almost like a mix between mochi and liquid yogurt in the slightly stretchy texture. The flavor is good too since it’s just a tad sweet and just a tad sour.Plum juice: Slightly sour and sweet juice that is refreshing to go with food and increase appetite.Overall, I would say the food here is pretty good because the owner really pays attention to the quality! The food is well seasoned and balanced. Can’t wait to try the other things on the menu.Parking: Plenty of parking

Eating Uyghur Cuisine in Xinjiang Plaza Hotel in Beijing was one of the many highlights of my trip to China in 2017. They have a rich culture and their food is a mix of flavors from different cultures at the western border of China. When I got back to the states, the first thing I looked for was Uyghur food, so I’m glad there’s a new option with LOULAN.Uyghur food packs a lot of flavor. The quality of the ingredients was delicious and the portions were generous. Every dish was delicious, but the highlight was maybe the thick Liangpi noodle.
