ATTENTION: the taqueria is inside/part of the VEGGIE GRILL. All the food there is amazing!

Not sure what's up with this "taqueria", but it's just 4 or 5 items on the regular Veggie Grill menu. Food was EXCELLENT though, and staff was really friendly. Actually ate here twice in one day.

Firstly, this place is a cloud kitchen inside the veggie grill. Due to this, you can only order from an app and then pickup from the veggie grill counter. The folks at veggie grill on the other hand are awesome and accommodating of folks sitting in and dining thereafter. The menu here has some overlap with that of veggie grill's menu with more taco options here than at veggie grill. The same items are priced lower on the veggie grill menu though.I tried the tejaco taco and the Baja fish taco. It was nice knowing that the menu was all vegetarian. Of the dishes, the fish taco tasted good and something I wouldn't mind having again if I was in the area while the tejano tasted decent but nothing unique.

Not that great. The food was not representative of what the online menu showed, photos etc, I think they need to use jackfruit like it says and bell peppers like it says, none of that was evident
Awesome local place! Support vegan restaurants!

Unexpectedly lovely vegan food!
I like the asada and Tex Mex burritos. The burritos are pretty good, but sometimes the rice is hard or there is too little sauce or no cheese. The tacos aren't good. It seemed like the tacos are made in bulk ahead of time. The corn tortillas are hard and chewy.

Love, love that it’s all vegan, but the burritos are just ok. They were smoky mushroom-Asada. Haven’t tried other options yet.

It’s inside the Veggie Grill! We were so confused trying to find it lol. The food is amazingggg?
Decided to order here before a show and picked up our food from the Veggie Grill in Santana Row. The queso was pretty yummy- had flavor and tasted nice. However they only fill up half a small cup of the queso so you really only get about 10 chip dips worth of queso silgo ha doesn't seem like nearly enough for the price. I ordered the Tejano burrito and enjoyed the flavor. Only downfall was that the rice was crunchy because it wasn't cooked long enough. I could set it aside for the flavor of the rest of the burrito but not for the price. For an almost $13 burrito I would really expect some cooked rice. My husband got the loaded burrito and said it was good too except the rice was also uncooked. Again, for a whopping $16 burrito the rice should be cooked. He said the Diablo sauce was all heat and no flavor as well so he would probably prefer medium. Overall the food had a good flavor but the prices for the amount of food and quality (rice) was not worth another visit for me. Veggie grill always has high prices for such a large chain restaurant. I definitely feel like they take some advantage of vegans with their prices. If the price doesn't bother you then then is a nice option for San Jose since the city lacks Mexican vegan food. Hopefully the rice situation was just a one time thing. As always, the staff here was very nice and inside was pretty clean. Pick up was easy and effortless. I got the loaded impossible burrito with guacamole. It was pretty good, but the "cheese" wasn't melted at all and the burrito fell apart easily. There also wasn't much impossible meat. This seems like a good place to get a quick meal. Updated from previous review on 2022-11-10
