I get the matcha tiramisu. No adjustments allowed because it's blended but it's not too sweet anyways. Honestly tastes more like matcha Oreo which I don't mind but if you're looking for that tiramisu flavor then I'd get something else. They have a lot of seating in the small store. The parking lot can get busy during the day.

Boba is okay at best. They discontinued their rewards app/points after I saved up enough points for two free drinks! And they don't offer to transfer points or redeem, just "sorry we don't do that anymore"??? There's at least 4 other BETTER boba spots in this very plaza. Disappointing service from a chain boba place.EDIT: Confused by their reply. They don't let you redeem points at all from clover. I asked. Obviously you could make it right by allowing me to redeem or transfer my points. I won't be coming back to Macu tea as you have lost my trust.

I ordered a glass of tarot milk tea, but I was very surprised that it took more than 10 minutes. I was the only one waiting for the order, but one guy was busy working alone in the kitchen. Two employees at the counter were busy chatting, but the milk tea they received in the end was not hot at all, but it taste not bad.

Came back again because the smoothies were so good the first time. Tried a couple new things this time. It was quite busy, but it is a Friday night, so I am glad there are lots of customers because this place is really good. Cashier was friendly and restaurant was sleek with white walls and colorful dragon.

Macu Tea is probably my favorite boba place in the Bay Area! I had their drinks for the first time in Taiwan last year and was so happy to find out that they're here in the US now too. My usual go-to drink is the QQ Passionfruit, and I personally am really into sour fruits so I find that the drink perfectly hits the spot. My partner has gotten a couple of their milk tea drinks and he likes them a lot too. The drinks are a bit pricey, but not too atypical of your Bay Area boba prices. The employees are nice and efficient when taking your order and making your drink. Their LNY boba cups were also absolutely adorable! Would highly recommend Macu.

TL;DR: Come for the "King of Mango Smoothie" but skip out on their add-ons. parking: - lots of parking available wait time: - a few minutes ambiance: - modern and clean service: - fast and efficient food: [Worth It] - King of Mango Smoothie: The mango smoothie surprisingly came with several add-ons. The mango tasted fresh and naturally sweet but the add-ons, like the grass jelly, tasted bitter and didn't compliment the smoothie well. I'm not sure if the grass jelly was not made well but in the future, I would ask the drink not to include those add-ons at all.

Saw this new tea shop open up in one of my fav complex for getting vietnamese food. They were giving out free samples. Tried it and I'm hooked! Recommendation: - king of mango smoothie (sooo good! it's like a dessert with the bits of grapefruit and grass jelly) - chi chi mango

New boba spot in a plaza full of them, really interesting menu with more fruit forward drinks. Chi Chi Grape - my go-to at ZERO& and Ume is any blended grape tea so wanted to try Macu's version. I thought it was good, but felt like it was not so flavorful. The cheese foam was good, but felt like the drink was lacking and found it to be more on the icy side. King of Mango Smoothie - not sure if it's because it is fresh mango, but I feel like this smoothie is just not sweet at all with regular sweetness. Bordering being bland. The texture is good, but just feel like it's lacking flavor. Probably wouldn't get this again. It seems like their drinks run on the less sweet side, so if you don't have a sweet tooth Macu will be for you! Service is decent, can be a bit backed up if busy. Lots of seating inside with a minimal and bright interior decor.

Refreshing drink. I noticed cases of fresh mangoes in front of the store, so I had a feeling that this place was going to be good after seeing how they had fresh fruit. I obviously had to order something mango-related and got the king of mango smoothie. This drink did not disappoint, and it was definitely refreshing. I loved how the drink itself was not too sweet. I would return and try new drinks, but so far, this mango smoothie has been too good to not get again!

THE PLACE IS aesthetic!!! Clean white interior with lunar new year decorations was really cute. Service was quick and the drink was solid, I'll come back! It wasn't too sweet and there's a good flavor to it.

We stop by on a rainy day so there wasn't many customers. The store looked clean and i think they recently opened. The mango fruit drink was ok but the brown sugar boba wasn't good.

King of Mango smoothie is a no-go. Contrary to how the drink is depicted on the poster, the drink is 1/3 coconut milk so it tastes very bland. Lacks any mango flavor.

Nice decoration for the Lunar New Year, year of the Dragon. They even change the cup to special red cup with Peanut (the dog) playing sparklers. Store was not packed on a holiday but we did see customers coming in and out every 10-15 minutes. Drinks came out quick even though there was only one girl being both cashier and barista. We ordered matcha tiramisu and tieguanyin oolong milktea. No adjustment for matcha tiramisu but luckily it did not come out overly sweet (I normally get 25-30% sweet at most milk tea places). Personally I didn't like the tiramisu cream on top, it just tasted like plain whip cream with some oreo powder on top. The matcha freeze is good though, strong taste of matcha and it was blended well with no ice clump. I'd recommend asking for no tiramisu cream to wholy enjoy your drink. Tieguanyin oolong milk tea was really good. Strong tea taste at 30% sweetness and no ice. Finally a good boba place is opened in this plaza (there were some other boba stores in the plaza but none of them were good to my taste). I definitely come back for their tieguanyin oolong milk tea.

There's a lot of boba shops in SJ. It must be tough to be located in a small plaza with a couple others. But I see why Macu Tea is popular. Up until closing at 10pm there were still people trickling in. I think Macu Tea is more fruit based than many of the other tea shops. Fruit tea and smoothies. My friends and I ordered the orange li li, the matcha tiramisu, and the grapefruit yakult drink. The orange and grapefruit drinks were not sweet. It tastes of real fruit. Even the grapefruit had the slight bitterness and the orange was more tart than sweet. The matcha tiramisu was sweet, but not diabetes level sweetness. I was satisfied with my pick. The workers were very sweet as well. When it came close to 10pm we started heading out but they said it's okay we could sit longer if we'd like. I like fruit so if I'm in an area with a Macu Tea I'd like try them again. Maybe a mango drink which is supposedly seasonal but still seemed to be available in January. Parking was a breeze at night 9:30pm but I heard this little plaza gets packed during the day.
