Good hotdogs and friendly service. There are out door bench style tables or you can order while seated in your car. Then they bring your order out to you. No indoor seating. The shack where they prepare the food is tiny. I enjoyed my food. I'll be back again.

The food my family and I ordered was good. The service, however, was terrible. The guy who took our order had a lousy attitude even before we ordered. He acted as if we inconvenienced him by trying to order food. I had been coming to this place ever since the 70s when it was on Alum Rock, and I wanted my children to experience a place I enjoyed as a kid since we no longer live in the area. I doubt if I'll ever come back.

Hello everyone, I grew up at eating Marks hotdogs. I'm 59 to be 60 years old. Yep that's a longtime to be eating there. My dad built race cars, Super Modified to be exact. With some old time Stock Cars. He would go to Fresno over 152 with a race car on the trailer. He at some point worked on Larry Rodriquez Super Modified race car in our backyard shop the windows and the house would shake when he fired that bad boy up. San Jose Speedway then to Mark's hotdog. I live in Arizona now but every time I'm in San Jose you will find me at Mark's. I eat a chili dog with onions and take 4 back home to Arizona. When I think of chili dogs I think of Mark's. I try to get there at least every 3 months. I get to dying for a chili dog they are the best made, best flavor, and such an awesome atmosphere. I just met the owners last month and told them of my story and I'm now an honorary employee with a Mark's Hotdog employee sweatshirt I have been so blessed with the sweatshirt, and I'm going today from Arizona.

I went here with my mom and sister for the first time we got 2 chili dogs a ketchup dog a pink lemonade and Oreo milk shake and a pink lemonade and chili fries. Both me and my mom agree the chili cheese dog was probably the best hot dog we've had in our lives it had a perfect ratio of chili to hot dog to onions my sister said the ketchup dog was really good but it had a little to much ketchup for her. The chili cheese fries were perfect like perfect just enough chili and really good fries. The milkshake and lemonade were good too. The service was amazing even though it was one person serving and one person cooking. The lady who was serving us was very patient and helpful explaining the menu. The ambiance was nice it had a hand painted sign and the place where they cooked was shaped like an orange. I would definitely recommend coming here and i would most definitely come back!

When you get that craving for a good ol style chili dog with cheese or onions or maybe you want polish they got it. From chili fries to milk shakes . This place is an original San Jose classic and American staple . My grandparents and parents have been coming here and I’ve always loved that historic orange dome that they operate out of. I highly recommend it and the best part they offer car hop service where they come to you and take your order or simply find a place to sit in there dining area and they come take your order. I give this place 5 stars hands down when it comes to authentic old American style hotdogs.

Fun drive-in style place to eat for lunch. Amazing chili cheese
I went with a friend and our kids. The place is a classic hot dog place without much frills. I had a polish with chili and jalapeños, which I enjoyed. We also got chili fries, regular fries, and nachos. The fries were good. Their nachos were more plain than I would usually prefer; however, the kids preferred them that way, so who am I to argue. I also got an orange shake, which was very good. Overall it was a good experience, and the kids enjoyed themselves.

Ok for the old school East Side San Jose kids this place is so nostalgic - I remember coming here all the time as a kid. It looks exactly the same but cleaner! They really cleaned up this place very well. I only came here for a root beer float which was amazing made just perfectly. My friend did get a hot dog and it smelled and tasted just like I remember! I thought service was super fast however I did come here close to closing and it was crazy the poor server was jumping from car to car trying to get everyone on their way. If you're tired of the same ol' costco dog and want something a bit better come here! Wash it down with a good ol' root-beer float!

I was looking forward to trying this, but they were closed. When I mean closed, it was the white gate blocked the parking entrance, but Google Maps and Yelp showed they were open. I arrived 3 hours before they closed...

I can't believe I've never been here until recently! And they offer car hop service too. We came for lunch on a Saturday and promptly greeted by a man even though he was busy and seemed to be the only one working. He asked if it was our first time and explained the menu to us in detail. He highly recommended the chili cheese dogs, so we ordered two. Some reason I thought this was more of a fast food joint where you order at a window and pick it up yourselves. But not only did he take our order at a table, he made our food as well. I did not realize how much chili was going to be on those things! 5 hours later and I am still full from lunch. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite as we were in and out under 30 minutes. I wanted to leave a tip but there wasn't a way to include it on the receipt :(. Will bring cash next time.
