Definitely a spot worth visiting, the food is great and well prepared, the cost is reasonable and it is regularly clean in here. Keep up the good work.

Great location for a private event. We utilized the patio area, and we had an exceptional experience with great seafood selections.

Delicious food and fantastic service. Lived the crab and shrip stuffed salmon, the crab stuffed shrimp was really good too. Not to kention the devine silk pie and cheesecake.

Been here half dozen times over the last several years. Always good service, always good food and always delicious. When you walk in, there's a half dozen or so little private booths behind curtains to the far left - ask for one of those. It's kind of cozy. My friend always gets the lobster bisque (it's pretty and they pour it over while you watch). I always get something seafoody and it's always delicious. Will be back.

Centrally located in downtown across from the park.Spacious restaurant with tables and booths and the bar in it's own area.I like their simply grilled fish dish. Just fish and seasonal veggies. Perfect if you ordered an appetizer or a salad.I eat here often and it doesn't matter if you are early, on time or late you will always wait to be seated even if there is no one else in the restaurant. If you want bread you need to ask for it.The atmosphere is great if you want to socialize over a meal. Plenty of windows so you can watch all the activity in the area.I always walk over after a show at the CPA so I don't know what parking is like.

Thanks to Steaks , a very nice server who I approached while walking on Pier 39 to ask for suggestions on a place to get a good steak...A Weekend trip to San Jose, CA landed us at the Fog Harbor Fish House. Although it is a fish house, my daughter had their flat iron steak and fries, she said it was one of the best steaks she has ever eaten.McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks San Jose, CA

Standard franchise with less than attentive service. Came for a business lunch on a Tuesday with almost no other guests, but it still took time to get us seated and served drinks. My $33.5 scallops were supposed to come with rice, but had potatoes - and nobody seemed to care to tell me it wasn’t what they promised. But I guess you still go here because it’s safe and you know what you get. Kinda.

Birthday, asked about sitting near the window like last time, but was told no even though the seats were available. They didn't have enough servers. Very noisy, group yelling on the other side of the wall separating the booths. Was right next to the kitchen, added noise. Waiter nice enough but never came back, had to ask other waiters to get him even though we saw him standing around a lot chatting in the kitchen. First time we tried this location we sat in the back by the windows, excellent service, relaxing, excellent food. This time mediocre and at times frustrating.

It was my wife's birthday and we went with another couple. We had Bonnie as our server. She provided excellent service, was knowledgable and made our evening special! Food was outstanding! Would absolutely return!

Made an open table reservation for 10pm on NYE and was called the day of and told that the kitchen closed at 10 and we would need to come in earlier if we wanted to eat. We're seated and rushed through drinks and meal. The waitress and food were about the only good thing.

My wife and I had reservations for 8:15pm, we arrived at the restaurant before 8:00pm on New Year's Eve, we had an engagement at 10:00pm at another location in downtown San Jose. We thought we had enough time to enjoy a nice dinner and have enough time to get to our other engagement. After waiting 30 minutes to be called, we decided to grab a quick bite at the bar. we were having appetizers when at 9:15pm we were finally called to be seated. This place has no respect to adhere to the reservation promised time. One hour after a reservation is a ridiculous amount of time to expect someone with reservations to be waiting.

the quality of the filet mignon was not good. I called the day before to make sure they had a regular menu, but when I got there the server told me it was a specific menu. I was lucky to be able to order a dish that I was looking forward to. The only drink I order finally showed up after dinner was served. Unfortunately I will not be returning since San Jose has other restaurants with better quality and quanitites for the money.

Decided to visit McCormick & Schmick's for Christmas dinner this year - my first visit to this restaurant. I arrived about 15 minutes late for my reservation, but was cordially greeted and seated in just a few minutes. My server, Jorge, arrived after just a few minutes and was very helpful in helping me understand the seafood choices on the menu. I selected the New England clam chowder and the Chilean Sea Bass in herb broth. The clam chowder was interesting but definitely not the best I have had. The sea bass, on the other hand, was exceptional. The service was very good except for the fact that I had to request bread with the meal. I would definitely return to this restaurant for another meal.

They seated us 30 mins. after our reservation time; our table did not have silverware/napkins, I took them from another table, the silverware was dirty. The portions are tiny...2 tiny lobster tails for about $35, 4 scallops for about $35. All tables are very close together. The bathroom smelled. Lousy ambiance for a supposedly upper scale restaurant. Food was good though, but that's not enough.
