Surprising ambiance for the restaurant's location in a strip mall. It was a bit loud but not uncomfortable. Suggestion that they play light Italian music rather than the loud pop music that was playing. The halibut was delicious! Rigatoni Salciccia was also excellent. Very flavorful without a big, heavy sauce. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience at Milan Restaurant in San Jose. We enjoyed both our meal and drinks while sitting at the bar, and everything from start to finish was solid. The staff was awesome—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat, and the people around us made the experience even better. It felt like the kind of place where you can easily settle in, have good conversation, and enjoy the vibe. I'd definitely recommend Milan Restaurant to anyone looking for a new spot to hang out, grab drinks, enjoy good food, and even catch a game now and then. We were a party of 13 for a birthday celebration and had the private room with a big screen for karaoke. The food was delicious , the service on point, the hospitality amazing. The restaurant is new and beautifully decorated with a gorgeous bar and outdoor seating perfect for sipping Aperol Spritzes when the weather is warmer!

Have really liked Milan the times we've visited now, and are impressed with the renovations they made (the bar is really nice, extra rooms for private groups, etc...). The food has been great and really friendly service. Nice to have such a good restaurant in this part of Willow Glen.

My only complaint is that the timeframe we had for dinner, which I had left in my reservation notes, did not seem to have been read. We reminded them we had a fixed amount of time and they rallied - definitely recommend.
Or server was fantastic, going as far as to engage my grandson Oliver and give him a balloon. Fantastic food and wine. Greatly appreciated the birthday desert. Thank you so much. Will definitely make sure that next time I'm back in San Jose will make sure to come in.

This was our second visit to Milan. Our first visit was great and we looked forward to going back. We made reservations on open table and were not alerted to any special New Year's menu. When we arrived there was a special menu with their same items priced about $20 higher than normal. While we were waiting for our table another table of four left when they saw the menu. We had a short time before a movie so we stayed. Bedsides the pricing I actually thought the food wasn't quite as good as the first time. We may try it again, but I wanted to provide feedback to the restaurant. Whatever extra profit they made that night could cost them in the long term

Side dining rooms may be ok, but restaurant is located in a strip mall so main dining room is basically one large room and quite loud.

Menu has a good range of options, prices are similar to other restaurants of this quality. Service was outstanding, friendly but professional at all levels of staff. Restaurant was busy but we weren't rushed thru our meal. The lighting was a bit too bright, could have turned it down a notch or two. Food was well presented, beef lasagna was very meaty, the baby clams in the Linguini were tender and well cooked, an ample serving.
