New ownership and menu has been changed. Liked it before, seems even better now. Staff was friendly and efficient. New menu has old favorites and new items. Food was excellent. Service great. Will be back.
This place was very nice. The ambiance and decor was very pleasing. The food and service was fantastic. We will definitely go back and sit outside with our dog.
We had a great experience at Milan. The new owners have changed up the menu and decor. There are so many more choices on the menu at reasonable prices and our party of four each had something different and enjoyed it all.
Overall experience at this restaurant was very good. The only issue with food was the bruschetta was a bit soft not crunchy and maybe due to overuse of tomatoes on top. I do plan to dine there again and sit outside to avoid noise while dinning inside.
I really want this neighborhood restaurant to succeed and we have eaten there 3 times since it changed owners. The owner needs to decide if he wants a fine dining restaurant or a sports bar. The decor is elegant and pleasing but all of the TV's are distracting. The tv in the bar makes sense but totally not necessary in the side room. The food is just so so and sometimes it is luke warm like maybe it sat for awhile or didn't heat long enough. The servers are very friendly but the service is inconsistent. The servers don't seem to have a designated area and they are all over the restaurant. Once we sat for 15 minutes with no contact from a server then when finally approached the server was surpised to have our table. Food will either come too quickly or with long gaps between courses.
This was the first time visiting the restaurant and there appeared to be a new owner with sign posted in the window. We almost turned around, but entering it looked great, beautiful bar, cool interior. After getting seated in a booth, no came for while, to the point where we were ready to walk out. The booth adjacent us was also looking for service and appeared to be waiting for service. It was as if the waiters didn't know what to do and we were sitting right across from the waiter station and they kept their back to us. The food was good, the service not so good, very casual in communication style. Later there appeared to be some arguing going on with the owner and one waiter on the other side df the restaurant and then the table that had been waiting for service seemed to be getting more attention. It seemed like it could be good, but wasn't' staffed appropriately, and possibly not staffed with restaurant professionals. The cheese raviolis were good, the chicken piccata was good, the risotto was a bit earthy and rice was crunchy. The tiramisu was good. Would try other restaurants before going back.
Disappointed with the new ownership. Not the same as it was before. The change in ambiance was not an improvement. Service was sub-par, food was mediocre. Will not be returning
New Owners-Updated menu- lots of options We had the burrata and procuitto appetizer- with some grilled peaches- very good! We had entrees veal piccata -otherwise I would have ordered more of the appetizers Wine bottle prices were reasonable Usually don't order bread pudding for dessert but happy we did- very tasty! I would go back
I just love this restaurant. Milan is the type of restaurant that reminds me of why going to a some restaurants feels like a special treat. It's mainly from enjoying cravable culinary delights from a masterful chef. It's a bonus that every single server and staff member provides impeccable service, and being aesthetically pleasing with a relaxed atmosphere just puts it over the top.
Most pasta dishes and some entrees are under $30, but certain dishes like the sublime lamb shank entree ($49) when available, cost more but I feel it was worth every penny. I usually don't order pasta, it's not my personal favorite, but my friend had the Milan fettuccine with plentiful rock shrimps and bay scallops and really liked it. We started off with fried calamari which was chewy but delicious with a good sauce I would definitely order it again. We also got the shrimp scampi which was as luscious and rich as shrimp scampi should be, the sauce was so good we used the little homemade bread rolls for dipping. We also ordered chocolate mousse and panna cotta for dessert. Chocolate mousse might be an old school dessert but it was so good that I can't stop thinking about it. I enjoyed having fresh fruit on top of it along with whipped cream. The panna cotta was beautifully dense with brandied cherries and sauce over it and again with that fresh fruit.
There is a room off each side of the restaurant that would be great for a private party.
If you order all the courses and wine, it will be over $100 for two people, but it's a great experience. We also enjoyed watching the sun set through the front windows (with partial blinds).

We had bread with a balsamic reduction and a really creamy olive oil. Wow. Then we had three small plates and a wonderful dessert with vanilla Gelato and cake drizzled with chocolate. It was divine.

Their breakfast bowls are hearty and energizing.
What a wonderful evening we had here! First I have to say I love the way this place is laid out. There’s lots of private corners and beautiful art and high ceilings. It’s really an amazing find in a strip mall! The service was absolutely top notch. Then the food! everything was so delicious. My salmon was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with all kinds of interesting flavors. The beet salad was both beautiful and delicious. Afterward I had an excellent tiramisu beautifully presented topped off with a fantastic European style decaf cappuccino. I also have to say the owner is a very nice man who was very kind to a member of our group who wasn’t feeling well. Everything was primo and bellisimo!

Want real italian food without Linguini Primavera or chicken piccata in the menu? Classy and elegant without being pretentious? The location is not exactly great, but plenty of parking. I hope it stays like this for decades. We went to Milan more than 3 times now. Wayyyyyy better than other expensive places in the bay area.
