I travel for work so I go to a lot of different cities and restaurants. Minato is 100% a place I will return to. The staff was great, the food was just right. Parking is tough and there are many food choice in close proximity. But for sure go here. You won’t regret it.

The best restaurant in Japantown! This family owned restaurant has been a San Jose staple for as long as I can remember, and has always served great food for a very reasonable price. My personal favorites are the tuna sashimi and the spicy chicken sauce. But, everything they serve is delicious, so you can't go wrong.
The owners and staff are all very kind and friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for a nice lunch or dinner.
As long as it's around, I'll keep coming back time and time again.

Got the hamachi and tempura set. The hamachi was fresh and buttery. Tempura was a bit disappointing (batter too thick), but overall, a very affordable place to have Japanese food
