You know those cool Christmas movies, in a bar that's all decked out with decorations? THIS is the place! We just moved to San Jose in November, no time to decorate for the holidays...honestly it didn't really feel like the holidays to us until we walked into MINIBOSS! We randomly found this place before a show at the Improv, and walking in for the first time ever, seeing everyone in Christmas sweaters and decorations ceiling to floor, holiday inspired amazing cocktails, cool holiday mugs and glasses. It really felt like the holiday spirit was in there and my husband and I desperately needed that!
We've been back a few times since, it's such a great place for hanging out and having drinks. I cant wait to check out the decorations during other holidays. And let's not forget the arcades. When friends come to visit us for the first time, this is the first bar we'll take them to!

BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL BUFFALO WINGS!!! Absolutely love this place!! Fun games, good drinks and good food. However, they changed the menu a little bit and the food is not 10/10 anymore. They removed their white sauce chicken pizza, which was the best pizza ever, and made the pizzas smaller. The worst problem is that they used to have the best buffalo wings in the Bay Area. Now the wings are sub par at best, the breading is now mush and the chicken is not as good. Still ok but very sad to see that they changed the ingredients on this one. I tried a second time and still bad, not ordering again and will likely not come back as much. Please bring back the original recipe and white sauce pizza!!! I literally came here multiple times just for this! They also removed an amazing carnitas ramen dish. The staff are all awesome and the vibe is great. Some games need fixing though. Cool place but something weird happened with the menu and ingredient selection, sad to see…

Bar with innovative cocktails and elegantly filled with game memorabilia and arcade machines. Play classics like Donkey Kong while enjoying a 1000 tea or another cocktail. The service is really quick and the drinks are quite good. Great place to end the night after an outing in Downtown San Jose with friends. I haven't had the food but I assume it's also quite good.

"Miniboss was fun until they unexpectedly kicked everyone out at 1:40 AM, even though they close at 2. I still had half a drink and $2 in an arcade game, but they rushed everyone out with no explanation. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to stay late."

If you want to enjoy a great atmosphere and great drinks and also play some video games arcade style, this is your place. Service is good, location it's great but not to find parking. So plan it with anticipation. Overall pinball it's the best here, personally, but there's buch of games you can try. Bring cash, since alm the games are based on quarters and you have tu buy them.
Fun place with lots of video games and pinball machines. Good beer from various small breweries from cities in the Bay area and San Joaquin valley. Bartenders were great. Just down the street from the Improv. We stopped in after a show.
I've been to this place a bunch of times and always loved coming here but my last visit (Friday, 1/24) made me not want to come here anymore...
My friends and I ordered 4 INDIVIDUAL drinks in total (as pictured). We got the Winter on Nibiru, a beer, Steal My Sunshine, and Zero Cool. However, after I got home and checked the receipt, I saw that I was charged $46 for one Zero Cool (as pictured). I figured it was a mistake and the bartender accidentally charged me the group serving price ($46) instead of the single serving price ($12).
I called the bar multiple times during operating hours to try to get this mistake corrected. The call goes directly into a recorded message and I was never able to talk to someone who works there.
If someone from the bar sees this, can you please help me fix this mistake? 😭
Update: I just got word from my bank that I was reimbursed! Thank you to whoever saw this post!!

Gotta love free arcade Thursdays - nice place to play with the bros on pinballs machines or the multiplayer and solo games. Great flavored cocktails too.

Nice place but gets reaaaally packed and busy, nice games with what seem like original cost (25¢-75¢ per play), drinks are strong a bit pricy but really good, recommend overall
