I was craving black sesame ice cream, so I got the soft serve. But I think a few years ago there was a different place that did not make mochi. I remember their black sesame ice cream as having a real taste of black sesame. The one I got today seemed to be overpowered by the taste of the brown sugar syrup they supposedly use. Hojicha soft serve ice cream had a strong roasted tea flavor. Good for those who prefer their tea with full taste vs those who prefer their tea with milk. The mango Matcha tea was good with the mango more on the tart side. A bit pricey. Long wait especially on a Saturday.
There was a long line when I went and it baffles me that people don’t know how to use a kiosk. I got the blueberry and mango matcha, it was very good! The orange mochi was okay… it was a dry clementine and I was not aware there would be red bean as the display did not have red bean in it. I’m not a huge fan of red bean. We also cut it in the wrong direction, so it doesn’t look appetizing, but it wasn’t too bad! I would give the mochi another try, just not the orange...
