Food is delicious! taste like home made, very flavorful and authentic. Jini gives you a very welcome service and dedication. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Her Kimbap is phenomenal and Tteokbokki with cheese and mandu is sooo good.

Ordered fried chicken wings with soy garlic sauce. Came with pickled radish and potato salad on the side. The sauce was too sweet, breading had poor cragginess and was completely soggy. At least the meat wasn't dried out. Would not recommend the fried chicken here.

We were craving Korean small bites more so than the gigantic portion of meals or AYCE bbq and MoDak was the perfect place to go to. MoDak has a selection of both small bites and big portioned meals. **What we ordered: Otteok Otteok - Skewered fish cake and rice cake 9/10 rating Musubi and Egg Kimbop - 9/10 rating 20pc Boneless Wings Tangy Soy Garlic Flavor - 9/10 rating All the food was so good, hot and fresh. Service was very attentive and kind by the waitress. Ambiance was very cute. I loved the artwork on the walls. It was very personable to their restaurant and you can tell was a very well done DIY painting project. The Kpop music videos in the background were a vibe and adorable. The Otteok Otteok was fried perfectly on the outside, yet chewy on the inside. The nice brush of gochujang was perfect and added a nice kick/sweetness to every bite. The Kimbop was perfectly hot and fresh. I loved the radish added which balanced the slight oiliness of the egg and spam. The 20pc boneless chicken almost tasted like orange chicken but Tangy Soy Garlic flavor. Perfect crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The complimentary potato salad and cubed radishes were perfect with the wings. I wish we were from the area as I would find myself going here often.

Modak has been one of those places I've been curious about for a while now. We got Yangnyun (spicy) and soy garlic wings. Btw they charge you an extra $1 for getting two flavors. The yangnyun sauce was really good, perfectly spicy for me (if you like spicy food you'll love this level of spice). To give you an idea of how they taste, the wings are not coated in the sauce, rather there is a dollop of sauce on top of the wings. The wings are breaded and the breading can fall off while you're eating, leaving you with an unsauced portion of the wing. Overall decent flavors, I especially enjoyed the spicy yangnyun. The wings also came with a small side of potato salad and pickled daikon cubes. We also tried kimchi fried rice topped with spam, we felt that the flavor was a bit mild for us.I am curious about their other offerings, they have several other dishes that sound great. The place itself is very cute and has a chill vibe, it can be perfect for hanging out with a couple friends. There isn't too much seating -- more often than not the tables were occupied. The table we sat at was a little sticky. I saw a couple of folks wearing gloves when they were eating wings which is a brilliant idea.My current rating is a 3.5/5, rounded up because the staff seems very friendly and I see a lot of other yummy dishes on the menu that I didn't get to try. Hope to be back again some time

I got the boneless chicken sampler. It was a bit disappointing because the chicken was soggy. The flavors were mediocre as well except for the spicy one.

We were craving Korean fried chicken and settled on MoDak because the pictures on Yelp looked delicious! We got the Soy Chicken and Spicy Yangnyun, and I thought they were both mouthwateringly good. My only complaint is that I wish they were a little hotter when they came out, our soy chicken wings were on the colder side when we received them. Despite that, the chicken wings were still amazing! They were crunchy and glazed with flavorful sauce, while the meat on the inside was tender and juicy. Their side of potato salad was great as well. The service was amazing and our waitress came to check on us and refill our water pretty often. The owner also gave us each a piece of kimbap which was super sweet of her!The bear at the front of the store and Christmas music were a nice touch to our experience, and we were able to chat and enjoy our chicken for an hour or so. If you're ever in the mood for Korean fried chicken, check this place out.

Found MoDak on Yelp after looking for a late night dinner. We walked in and ordered to go (although you can order ahead online) and got our order within 15 minutes. There wasn't anyone else in the shop but it was about 9pm. The shop has more of a takeout feel but they do have tables for people to dine in. We didn't really interact with the staff much so I can't speak to their service. We ordered the bulgogi japchae and was pleasantly surprised. It was $18.95 and was a huge portion! It's a great sharing dish, but could probably last 2-3 meals for one person. We also ordered two regular sized wing sets which came in 10 pieces each for $17.95. I liked that the chicken wing pieces were on the larger size. We tried the yangnyum (a little too sweet but maybe we need to up the spice level) and the savory soy flavors. I think the chicken could've been a little crispier since the batter was more on the gooey side but it was still good, just different.

This is my go to Korean friend chicken spot. Every time we bring it to a gathering, it's a hit. Portion sizes here are extremely generous and the flavors smack. I bought it on 3 separate occasions so far:1. First time with bf and got the combo and a o-tteok o-tteok. Only finished like half the combo between the two of us. Loved the o-tteok!2. Bought the regular wings for the bf and he shared with his co-workers cuz it was too much for one person. That put them on it and now they order on doordash from here3. Another time I bought 2 C1s and 3 orders of the o-tteok (so 6 skewers) for 3 girls and 3 guys, and we only finished one C1 and the o-tteoks.My favorite is the Yangyum sauce. Since the people I've shared with aren't spicy lovers like I am, I've only gotten mild and med and there's still a lil kick in the med (this is all subjective). Will probably order spicy at some point.I will say we haven't sat down and ate here, only to go so I can't comment on the service as much. The people are usually on time with the orders and pretty quick about it. The store gives pocha vibes and is cute.

Second time here and has to be my favorite korean fried chicken in the area! Ordered Combo 1 (7 drums, 7 wings) with half Yangnyum sauce and Savory Soy. For our sides, we got pickled radish and potato salad.YANGNYUM SAUCE- Whenever I get this sauce from other places, I'm not a huge fan because its always too sweet and not spicy.- Modak allows you to adjust the spicy levels! They have mild/medium/spicy/ and very spicy.- The first time we ate their yangnyum wings, we got super spicy and WERE DYING. We picked spicy during our second visit and it was just right! - Loved the addition of fresh jalapeños.SAVORY SOY- Huge fan of soy chicken wings and these were so good! Both of the soy and yangnyum were good, but I think I prefer this sauce more. - The chicken is really tender and juicy! I was surprised how big the chicken pieces were. The batter was sauced well and had a softer crisp to it. I wish it was more crispy, but still pretty good overall. Will definitely come back to this place! I like how it opens late and you can get free soda/beer when you Yelp check-in. This is a small business and I think their fried chicken is better than the chains in our local area.

This place is family run which is nice to see. Came in for dinner and ordered the chicken combo 7 wings and 7 drumsticks. I wish they let you choose 2 sauces but they only allow 1 for free. My crew ordered spicy and for me, man it was spicy! We also ordered the beef ramen which was also spicy, but the menu didn't state that. The owner came over to give us 3 pieces of kimbap which was nice of her. Parking is plenty and there is a strip mall parking lot adjacent to the restaurant.

We ordered a few things for takeout because we were curious about there being two Korean chicken restaurants so close to each other.Got their boneless chicken sampler so that we could try all the flavors. They're all pretty interesting and unique!Yangnyum (mild): sort of like sweet and sour sauce, with a little spice.Savory soy: similar to the "soy garlic" option at other Korean chicken places.Creamion: reminds me a little of "sour cream and chives" chips.Cheese dust: reminds me a little of "cheddar" PringlesKatsu matsu: similar in taste to those mild Japanese curry cubes. They forgot our radish in our takeout order, so we didn't get to try that this time. The seafood pancake was good. A little on the doughy side, but still tasty. Also ordered the bulgogi japchae and I thought it was quite tasty. Very smoky/BBQ-y.

The cheese dust doesn’t taste like cheese ? the yangnyum mild taste like General Tso ?? I’m disappointed ☹️ I was looking for cheese chicken like bhc in Korea. Only thing good was the kimbap, not like typical kimbap but the spam is good, wish it could have some more veggies.I do love the potato salad, it’s rare for Korean restaurants here to have that as banchan
