This was our first time visiting and we ordered the lemon grass chicken banh mi, medallion banh mi, and lemongrass chicken bowl and swapped out the vermicelli noodles for extra veggies. The ingredients were all very fresh, portion sizes were great, and staff was really friendly. Highlight was the cilantro aioli which was so flavorful. Food also came out fast.
We did encounter a few hard cartilage pieces in both the chicken and medallion which we had to take out. Prices are also slighter higher but expected for Downtown San Jose. Overall, we enjoyed our experience but we still prefer traditional banh mi sandwiches more. Still worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I usually don’t like getting Vietnamese sandwiches for over $10. But I got the porchetta and the sandwich stuffing was good and the green sauce complemented it well. The guys at the counter were nice. The Vietnamese coffee was fine.

Porchetta Bahn mi is incredible. The green sauce is awesome. A tad expensive, but we're in downtown SJ, what can you expect. Try this place

Not sure why it’s has such a high rating. It’s really not a good sandwich. On a roll close by have much better sandwich. This is just fast food style. I’m so disappointed after trying it. The rating is so misleading
1st time here, the place was nice, clean, and Staff friendly. We tried the pork patty, chicken, and pork belly. They were ok, nothing special. Patty was dry and needed something. Pork belly was way too greasy, and chicken was OK. They give you a green sause, which you definitely need to make these taste better. Lastly these are OVER PRICED, there are better places.

Name gives of a vibe of a mom and pop shop, although the look feels a bit more commercial. I do not know their origins however. I know they started as a food truck so name could stem from that time. Really good banh mis, better than Lee’s to me.

I've been coming to this place since they were ghost kitchen a few blocks over. I appreciate the new location, and the food is just as good as it's always been. If you want some greasy twisty fries, this is the place to go!!

I'm an SJ Native that moved out of state a couple years ago & this food brings us back to the Bay Area & all our familiar favorites. Porchetta banh mi, Fried chicken banh mi, and medallion banh mi were all so good. Loved that the bread is homemade, & it definitely tastes fresh. Vietnamese coffee was amazing as well. Definitely our new go-to spot whenever we visit the bay area again.

Heard that San Jose has good banh mi and found this place near my hotel while on a business trip. I asked the staff which banh mi was the most popular and she mentioned the bbq lemongrass chicken and porchetta. Decided to get the former along with twirly fries and iced Vietnamese coffee. The portion was very generous for the banh mi and really enjoyed the sweet and savory fish sauce that drenched the fries but was crispy at the same time. The green sauce and sriracha went well with the banh mi. I’d come back and try their vermicelli noodle bowl.

The banh mi sandwiches are delicious. Both the medallion and porchetta are great along with the fries.

Fantastic Banh Mi - fresh, crusty, tasty bread roll. Tender and crunchy chicken with light spice. Fragrant sauce and great pickles. Friendly service and clean shop, quite a lot of seating for a small place. Excellent value

This is one of the best banh mi I’ve ever had! Amazing flavor (esp with the extra house sauce they give you) and fresh ingredients. Large portions given the price! And the staff is so sweet. Definitely coming back for more.
