We had an absolutely wonderful experience with the Eritrean food here!
The Veggie Combo was outstanding: Every one of the four sides was delicious, each offering a distinct and exciting flavor profile. The vegetables were noticeably fresh and perfectly prepared. The injera was super soft and yummy, making the family-style eating experience truly enjoyable.
We also ordered the Mushroom Dulet, which was a fantastic discovery. The flavor was incredibly unique, savory, and wonderfully full of umami. It was a standout dish!
Highly recommend both the fresh and varied veggie combo and the intensely flavorful Mushroom Dulet. A must-try!

My first time back in about 6 months and ALL THE RECIPES ARE SUDDENLY DIFFERENT. The injera is now sweet and super light in color, and no longer comes standard with the veggie combo. I miss their traditional dark injera made with brown teff that had a bit of earthy, sour flavor to it.
The veggie combo: The misir wot is tame, offers no heat, and not as spicy hot as I'm used to from this place. The kik alicha is surprisingly sweet and now lacks the punchy garlic/ ginger flavor it once had. (I really don't enjoy the sweetness at all.) The atakilt wot was OK... I did notice they finally started cutting the potatoes in that particular dish smaller, which I'm thankful for, but I miss the BIG flavor. (I might go so far as to describe it as filling, but bland.)
The doro alicha tibs had the best flavor, but the chicken pieces were smaller than a literal dime and it was mostly onion and oil.
What happened to my #1 Ethopian place?! Maybe I just miss a particular cook? They definitely changed the recipe of the 2 things I order regularly, and I no longer enjoy their veggie combo due to it's increased sweetness overall. I'm kinda sad, and will consider other Ethiopian restaurants because of the change in injera alone.
Friendly staff, BTW. Always great service.

I was on the roof deck of the Marriott, smelled something delicious, and
followed my nose to Mudai next door.
It was a great find.
Flavorful quality yum!
I got the Ater Kik, Gomen and Bosena Shiru.
This is truly something different and special in the sea of Asian and Mexican places in San Jose.
