Food was pretty good but service needs serious improvement. After we were seated, it took at least 5 minutes before someone came to bring us menus and water (which were not refilled for the rest of our time there). Then, after ordering, we proceeded to wait a whole hour before receiving our food. As we had something planned after dinner, we had approximately 15 minutes to eat. We had made a reservation for this meal, so despite our large party size, they should have made at least some preparations for our arrival.
I travel the US and lot and Ethiopian food is one of the types of food I like sampling from many places. The seasoning/cooking here is definitely above average, the service is very kind, and I even had some nice conversations with other customers. I was the only non-ethiopian in there. Casual atmosphere and good food at a very reasonable price. Stop in if you want to try something different.

Excellent restaurant. Best injera I’ve had. Insane portion sizes - my husband and I ate comfortably on a single veggie combo.
My husband ordered the Baklava and claimed that all his life problems disappeared after eating a bite of it. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant is has a welcoming vibe

Some of the best food i’ve eaten in my entire life!!! We got the beg alicha lamb wot and spicy shrimp tibs, absolutely bursting with flavor, meat so tender, injera soft and spongy and delicious. All for an insanely low price considering the taste. Service was also excellent and quick, waitress was very friendly and helpful, atmosphere was very sweet and welcoming with beautiful artwork on the walls. 100/5 stars please eat at this restaurant!!!

This is a quiet restaurant in an industrial/residential area. I went for a late lunch and the place was empty. They were setting up for some private party on the other side of the restaurant. The service was extremely quick. I got a sambusa which is quite similar to the Indian Samosa in concept and looks, but taste very different. This one was filled with lentils, which I found to be little bit, dry for my taste. I also got the meat sampler, and it came with a huge injera and four types of meat. There stewed chicken lamb and beef and some dressed salad in the middle. Ethiopian food uses a lot of spices and it reminds me a bit of Indian curries. The bread was fermented and gave it a sour tang which I absolutely loved. The curries were delicious as well. The portion size was huge and was difficult to finish for one person. The ambience is very casual and barebones but I did not mind.

My partner and I have been coming here for years. During covid, we relied on delivery, and even now we still order regularly. When we do get the chance to dine in, the service is always warm and consistent. They always check in to see if you enjoyed the food, and the answer is always yes. Honestly, just writing this makes me want to place another order. We truly enjoy it!

It's a simple restaurant on the corner. There's only street parking so you might have to go around the block a couple times. The food is delicious and flavorful and the amount of spice in some of the dishes is adjustable. One person in our party cannot tolerate a lot of spice and the waitress was happy to recommend a couple dishes. Vegetarians and meat eaters alike will be very pleased.

Food was amazing, service super nice and friendly. Looks like a little place, then you walk in nice open clean space. Was greeted by a lady. They food taste fresh and not overly or under seasoned just right. Will go again.
Chicken tibs with injera. Lightly spiced using turmeric, ginger and onions. Nice dining room and friendly service.

Loved the vegetarian combo and mushroom main course we had here. Delicious food, excellent customer service, and lovely environment! Our waitress was amazing and helpful. Kids loved the food too and devoured it all!
We used to go to another popular Ethiopian place regularly but unreasonable wait times and bad attitude in service made us stop.
I hope they keep up good service at Mudai!
