I went here twice, and tried the Banh beo, Mi Quang, and Bun Cha Cua. I would recommend the Banh Beo, as there were 8 pieces and delicious. The mi quang and bun cha cua were decent, but I probably wouldn't get it again here. They also have a tray of sauces and they were pretty good.Service was decent. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking.I would rate it a 3.75/5, rounding up to a 4/5.

Maybe I ordered wrong or maybe they had an off day, but I didn't enjoy the items I got.The $6 watermelon juice was sour. I get that the flavor depends on the fruit, but if they know they got a non-sweet batch, they should have told me.I got the Mi Quang for my meal and although I enjoyed the broth, noodles and fish cake, the overall dish was very disappointing. It was supposed to come with fresh shrimp, but the shrimp in my dish were definitely dried (even the broth couldn't soften the hard, chewy texture). The pork rib was very tough. The sesame cracker was stale. The advertised pork skin was nowhere to be found.Lastly, our appetizer came out after our entree and contained a hair. Needless to say I was done at this point.I wish I would have read the reviews before, as I do not like smoking. The smell is definitely very strong,The people working there were nice, but I don't think I'll be back.

I recently dined at Năm Giao restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by their bánh beo. It was not only delicious but also served piping hot, with the perfect combination of toppings. The crispy pork skin and fried shallots added a delightful crunch that complemented the bánh beo exceptionally well. While the Bún Bò Huế was good, I felt it could benefit from a deeper flavor profile. However, the highlight for me was the chili oil they offer—it was delicious, with a nutty undertone and just the right spice level.I appreciated the variety of options, including a cooling herbal drink, which added a unique touch to the dining experience. The restaurant boasts a spacious layout with plenty of tables, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Năm Giao offers a delightful culinary journey with standout dishes and a comfortable ambiance.

My family was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday and my mom decided to pick Nam Giao restaurant. The restaurant serves a lot of central Vietnamese food and we picked a variety of noodle soups and Hue dumplings. We ordered the banh beo aka steamed rice cakes topped with shrimp and pork skin crackling and banh ram it aka Hue dumpling atop a crispy rice cracker. I love it when the banh beo is topped off with real shrimp instead of dried shrimp. It just makes it so much better. The banh ram it was lovely and the fried rice cracker was crispy. My family ordered the mi quang and bun bo hur and they enjoyed their noodle soups. I ordered the Vietnamese udon AKA banh canh and it's different from other ones I've had before. This one has a lighter broth and I believe the noodles are made with rice instead of tapioca. It's really good and I had some left over. When I ate it the next day, the noodles were not soggy at all. I also ordered the watermelon juice but I would pass on this next time. For some strange reason, the watermelon juice was strangely separating. There was also no ice, so the watermelon juice was quite warm. The restaurant has a lot of seating and the staff members were friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would come back to try the other items.

We've been here for so many times for the egg noodles, it's so good, and we can barely find this same noodle from other places.Ppl here are also really nice and helpful. Love the vibe here too, it's not too busy and we can actually have some time with friends.I would recommend this place if you want to try this egg noodles!

We're in a rush, so we just simply pick one restaurant closed to us at Tully road. I should have go to my favorite Hue instead. This restaurant is quite expensive and the portion is small, $16.50 for BBH. So far, this is the smaller bowl of BBH I ever had in San Jose Vietnam town. The taste is okay, but after 30 minutes, we've so thirsty, must be the MSG. Not coming back.

When you go there to support the restaurant and receive an attitude just because you have a little request.

This place is fairly new, inside is nicely decorated and very modern. There's also a small stage in the back with a flower wall for pictures and event perhaps? I hear that they have a live band that performs in the evening during the weekend. This location was also a bun bo hue restaurant prior to this new restaurant. We came on a weekday for lunch, inside only has a few tables seated, did not seem to be busy. We order two Bun Bo Hue since it's there specialty. I always like to try their broth first. My first sip was pretty good. The broth was fairly clear with a hint of sweetness and mildly spicy with lemon grass flavor. I initially thought the bowl was small, however, i reality the bottom of the bowl was wide instead of small and gradually narrowed down. Being said, it was a generous portion and topped with lots of protein. However, it's typical Asian customer service, I asked for cooked bean sprouts, the answer was" the bean sprouts are all mixed into the veggies." I took it as a no? Speaking of veggies, most places serve a good amount of banana blossom with bun bu hue, this place, I can count the strings of banana blossoms as pictured. Today is a hot day, I feel warm as I entered the restaurant, I didn't feel the coolness of the AC, but I see a few nice ceiling fans on. I was sweating while eating For future reference, please turn on and turn down the AC a little especially while trying to consume this bowl of hot spicy noodle soup.

Even on a Saturday evening, there was a lot of empty tables. They deserve more love. The parking lot is huge, but the neighborhood is a bit shady.Beef rib soup: 3.5/5. The rib had a lot of meat, but a bit chewy. Not a lot of MSG. The soup was decent.Banh Beo: 4/5. It came with 8 tiny plates. The pork grind was crunchy enough.

Foods were good, but owner/employees were not friendly. No smiles or Thanking. They were seemingly don't care....so don't

We came in in the late afternoon and the restaurant was almost empty, not a good sign but we decided to try it out anyway. This restaurant supposedly specializes inCentral Vietnam dishes, strangely, I couldn't find the region's signature "bún bò Huế" in their menu. So we went with "bánh bèo" (which is cold to touch when it's being served) and "mi Quảng" (wasn't as hot as I wanted and kinda small). Needless to say, the foods weren't up with our expectations but that's the fun of trying out a new restaurant: Very seldom you find a new gem that you want to come back but most the time you wish you have gone to your favorite instead. At least, the place is clean and service was fast.

Just an okay experience. Food was okay - mom and I ordered two different dishes yet the broth was identical. I'm vietnamese have had many authentic Vietnamese dishes. Nothing special here. Not to mention service was not the greatest. Restaurant was dead, yet the attentiveness of the workers were not there for one just one single table.Drinks didn't even come with ice.

I went here to eat Bánh Năm at this modern restaurant. I loved the taste of the food and the food came quick. I liked the friendly staff and the cleanliness. There is a good variety in this menu. Would be coming back again.
