Awesome takeout portions. The spicy food here really hits, be prepared if you are not good with spicy food! They have non-spicy options as well which are also delicious. I really like the beef + wild green pepper stir fry, and steamed rice with onion sauce. Give this place a try if you want some good authentic Hunan food!
This place is SO good. I rarely feel that restaurants deserve 5 stars, but the food here is exceptional. I've been twice and can vouch for overall consistency. As a SPICY food lover, I can say the hype is justified. Not too overwhelmingly spicy, and the portions are generous. Menu has a balance of traditional dishes that are done really well, and creative novel dishes that taste just as good but you won't find elsewhere.
This is hands down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in San Jose! Definitely come here if you love spicy food. I always try to bring my friends here when they are visiting from out of town.Noodle Talk has pretty extensive menu so I would definitely recommend coming here with a bigger group of friends so you can try more things.
Price are worthy of its quality. The food s tasty and well-prepared. Authentic flavors.Service was impeccable. Order spicy if you love spicy food, but they could also adjust the spicy level for you. THAT was great!!
I truly enjoy eating authentic cuisines of all cultures. Within the past 2-3 years I have gained an interest towards Authentic Chinese food specifically from the southern province of Hunan. The array of flavors within this cuisine truly delights my taste buds. I've been aware of the 2 other Noodle Talk locations and was very excited that they decided to open one in my area. I also noticed the menu is more extensive at this location in comparison to the one in Los Altos and Sunnyvale, therefore it was only right that I tried the various dishes that they offered. For starters, I ordered the Dried Beancurd Sticks with Cucumber. This dish was garnished perfectly. Loved the blend of spicy chillies, garlic and cilantro. The coolness of the cucumber gave it a perfect balance. Very light as well.I am a health freak, therefore it is important I have a balance of vegetables in all my meals. I ordered two vegetable dishes, the first was the Asparagus Lettuce Stir-Fry with garlic. Pretty straight forward dish, hard to mess up. The dish was cooked just fine, as the vegetables were not over cooked and the garlic absorbed well into the asparagus root. Next I ordered, the loofah and egg soup. At times loofah can be overpowering although the egg gives it the right balance.I ordered 3 main dishes. The first was the Fresh Bullfroges with purple perilla and cucumber hot pot. In general I am a huge fan of frog, anything nutrient dense, low in fat and lean is a winner in my book. The dish was garnished with lots of variety such as ginger, chili's, garlic, etc. The sauce was a spicy sour flavoring. Overall, an enjoyable dish as I love sour/hot combination especially over rice.Secondly, I ordered the Sichuan maoxuewang intestine and duck blood dish. The duck blood was very tender and almost melts right in your mouth. Overall, was hoping the dish had more flavor.Lastly, I ordered the Sauteed Fish Filets and Chinese Cabbage in Hot Chili Oil. This is definitely a gem within their menu and something everyone should try. The blending and layers of flavor is at every level when biting into the fish filet. No fishy taste. My favorite main dish and looking forward to eating it again! For dessert I ordered the sticky rice cake with honey. Texture was crispy on the outside and mochi like on the inside. Dipped it in a brown sugar sauce. Pretty simple but simplicity goes a long way.
The best Chinese Restaurant here in the North San Jose. The food here is so tasty. I love the beef combination with blood . The beef stew noodle is so good . The decor is classic and clean . Will come back often .
Very good service and dining experience. Comparing with the Noodle Talk in Los Altos, you get more for the same order because the bowl here is bigger. Also we got the complimentary peanuts and spicy cabbage when we were waiting for the noddle soups. They have not just noddle soups. We will try their dishes next time. Their restroom is super clean too.
Solid 5 stars. The food was really good! We had so many food I have never ordered before, the manger recommend so many good food. Beef noodle soup was so good. Would come back.
This place is da bomb. Never really had Hunan cuisine before, but I'm a fan. If you tried Cantonese and Szechuan and want to try something else for a change. Switch it up and try Noodle Talk. They have noodle soup dishes that are souper yummy. And the coconut shrimp with ? is amazing, way better than that mayo shrimp walnut thing. The best dish by far was the pepper and pork belly stir-fry dish. A lot of flavor and heat, it hurt so good. I'm gonna be back to explore the menu more.
They forcedly made choice for my tips selection without letting me know. Bad service likes this makes me feel offended. And the food price is definitely surcharged.

Nice meal, the noodle soup was amazing, well presented and very tasty. These guys were very friendly and professional.
Very clean and nice Chinese restaurant. You have lots of choices not only noodles. I love their stir fry beef , deep fried fish, green bean, sliced potato. The restroom is very clean. The service is friendly and fast.
Returned to office and work has really bought me some time to go back and review some places that I used to go. The pandemic kept me away from this lovly place for a while. I've tried many things here and found out everything remain the same as before. The spiciness was very interesting. The Marbled Beef with Tomato Noodle Soup is my favorite because it's so home taste, it looks spicy but not.How come? But they just did it. Dried Beancurd Sticks With Cucumber is super fresh for me, first time try and love it literally. My coworker loved Beef and Wild Green Pepper Stir-Fry and Cold Spicy Sticks because they were spicy and tasty as she likes.Almost forgot to mention the Green Bean Paste, the best for summer lunch.
The food here is consistently good, most dishes have a respectable spiciness level so ask for less spicy if you're not a big fan of spicy food.
