3.5 solid stars. Yelp really needs to incorporate a half star rating. We're seen Noodle Talk for quite some time and finally decided to try it. The posters of the food on the windows look amazing, and being a huge Chinese food enthusiast, it was a must try for me. We went for dinner around 5, it was fairly empty. We seated ourselves. You order through the app, very fast and efficient. There was only 1 employee working as a runner. The food came out pretty quick, we waited 5 minutes or so before we got our first dish. We started with the beef/tripe appetizer plate. I liked this dish a lot. There was plenty of beef, tripe, and cucumber underneath. A lot of chili oil, spices and pepper. This plate goes great with white rice, to counter all the flavors. Next, we got the chicken stir fry noodle. It was pretty good, there were a lot of jalapeno peppers. I personally think a little more chicken would be great, because you do get a lot of noodles. Lastly, we got the seafood noodle. Again, a lot of noodles, soup was flavorful, could've used a little more seafood. There were a few pieces of shrimp, few clams and few slices of fish. Overall, it was a good meal. This type of Chinese cuisine includes a lot of spices and peppers, so beware if you're someone who doesn't handle spice well. I drank a lot of water, but it was worth it. We'll definitely come back.

I have not had Asian food like this before. I have a love for noodles since growing up watching dragon ball z. Passing by the name Noodle Talk everyday as I go into work always intrigued me. I regret not stopping by sooner and exploring the menu. The lamb soup was amongst one of the best broths I've ever had in my life. It was spicy and soothing with a hint of mint from the pepper. My coworkers and I are going back to try new dishes in the near future. The menu is vast with a lot to explore.

Awesome takeout portions. The spicy food here really hits, be prepared if you are not good with spicy food! They have non-spicy options as well which are also delicious. I really like the beef + wild green pepper stir fry, and steamed rice with onion sauce. Give this place a try if you want some good authentic Hunan food!

Good observations folks. Great food on the 4 dishes we tried. The added 15% tip doesn't bother me, but the receipt is definitely tricky. I can understand how this ticks off people. I saw it and still decided to add another 15% on top as time is tough and it's the new year. Prices may seem expensive, but inflation folks. I'll definitely eat there again, but no additional 15% tip next time.

I'm glad I didn't check Yelp before I tried this place. I typically don't eat at Yelp three stars...I know I know...sounds a bit snobbish. But I just like really good food! I really dislike being disappointed. Well I have learned through this experience that sometimes just watching how many people are going in and out can lead you to a great place! Hot noodle soup sounded delicious on a cold winter night! I took a chance and I was not disappointed. Service was friendly and quick. It was Christmas Eve so there weren't as many people as there could be. I imagine it gets packed. I asked for a beef noodle soup without the extra jiggly beef parts I don't like...tendon, tripe, all that. The lady chose for me the A1...Beef Noodle Soup. The service was quick! First off the broth was amazing! Do not let the pictures on their menu fool you. The pictures lack the vibrancy and deliciousness (and some of the ingredients) that you get! Deep rich flavorful broth, perfect noodles, and tender beef. There were some jiggly parts I didn't like. The server noticed I left them to the side and immediately offered to add more meaty parts, free of charge, for me! Amazing! I felt cared for. Honestly, I think I've been converted from a pho lover to a Noodle Soup lover. So much more flavor! Give this place a try! I'm excited to come back and try other dishes. Too bad I didn't take any pix...I was too busy devouring my soup. Yummmm

This place is SO good. I rarely feel that restaurants deserve 5 stars, but the food here is exceptional. I've been twice and can vouch for overall consistency. As a SPICY food lover, I can say the hype is justified. Not too overwhelmingly spicy, and the portions are generous. Menu has a balance of traditional dishes that are done really well, and creative novel dishes that taste just as good but you won't find elsewhere.

This is hands down one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in San Jose! Definitely come here if you love spicy food. I always try to bring my friends here when they are visiting from out of town.Noodle Talk has pretty extensive menu so I would definitely recommend coming here with a bigger group of friends so you can try more things.

I ate it too fast and didn't take a pic but they are so nice to let us in less than 10mins before close. We got the Hot and Sour Pig Intestine Noodle and Marbled Beef in Golden soup - so so good~ On the way out, boss lady gave us free Plum Juice

Price are worthy of its quality. The food s tasty and well-prepared. Authentic flavors.Service was impeccable. Order spicy if you love spicy food, but they could also adjust the spicy level for you. THAT was great!!

This is a review of their food for take-out. Usually, when I get food for take-out, the quality of the food always drops since the steam makes the food less crispy, more mushy, etc. But this didn't apply to the Tomato Egg. Of all the times I've been to Noodle Talk, this is my favorite dish. It's simple yet so comforting. I really enjoy eating the tomato chunks with the egg and the sauce at the bottom. It goes great over a bowl of warm rice. Yes, the price is a little high for some tomatoes and egg. But I haven't had it as good as Noodle Talk makes it. I would come back to Noodle Talk just for this dish.

2stars for the service.. very nice people but the food is not on par. Broth missing that umami flavor for beef bones. Taste like they just seasoned water for the broth..

I truly enjoy eating authentic cuisines of all cultures. Within the past 2-3 years I have gained an interest towards Authentic Chinese food specifically from the southern province of Hunan. The array of flavors within this cuisine truly delights my taste buds. I've been aware of the 2 other Noodle Talk locations and was very excited that they decided to open one in my area. I also noticed the menu is more extensive at this location in comparison to the one in Los Altos and Sunnyvale, therefore it was only right that I tried the various dishes that they offered. For starters, I ordered the Dried Beancurd Sticks with Cucumber. This dish was garnished perfectly. Loved the blend of spicy chillies, garlic and cilantro. The coolness of the cucumber gave it a perfect balance. Very light as well.I am a health freak, therefore it is important I have a balance of vegetables in all my meals. I ordered two vegetable dishes, the first was the Asparagus Lettuce Stir-Fry with garlic. Pretty straight forward dish, hard to mess up. The dish was cooked just fine, as the vegetables were not over cooked and the garlic absorbed well into the asparagus root. Next I ordered, the loofah and egg soup. At times loofah can be overpowering although the egg gives it the right balance.I ordered 3 main dishes. The first was the Fresh Bullfroges with purple perilla and cucumber hot pot. In general I am a huge fan of frog, anything nutrient dense, low in fat and lean is a winner in my book. The dish was garnished with lots of variety such as ginger, chili's, garlic, etc. The sauce was a spicy sour flavoring. Overall, an enjoyable dish as I love sour/hot combination especially over rice.Secondly, I ordered the Sichuan maoxuewang intestine and duck blood dish. The duck blood was very tender and almost melts right in your mouth. Overall, was hoping the dish had more flavor.Lastly, I ordered the Sauteed Fish Filets and Chinese Cabbage in Hot Chili Oil. This is definitely a gem within their menu and something everyone should try. The blending and layers of flavor is at every level when biting into the fish filet. No fishy taste. My favorite main dish and looking forward to eating it again! For dessert I ordered the sticky rice cake with honey. Texture was crispy on the outside and mochi like on the inside. Dipped it in a brown sugar sauce. Pretty simple but simplicity goes a long way.

The best Chinese Restaurant here in the North San Jose. The food here is so tasty. I love the beef combination with blood . The beef stew noodle is so good . The decor is classic and clean . Will come back often .

Overall, the food at this restaurant is above average. The problem is the quality and the quantity are inconsistent. We have been to this restaurant a dozen times. Sometimes everything is good. Sometimes, half of the dishes are no good. Sometimes, the quantity of the dishes are much less than expected. This restaurant advertises that they have authentic bone broth and Chinese medicine soup for the noodles. We ordered a bowl of noodle soup, and it was very disappointing. To our surprise, the soup was diluted with water and soy sauce. This is not acceptable. The servers are friendly. They try hard.

I love this noodle very much. This is the best noodle I've ever had. Who can tell me the origin of this noodle? I think this noodle is a very good product for chain store.
