The carnitas are always my go too with one crispy chicken taco and their taco sauce to die for 🤤 with a super michelada
The best Mexican restaurant in San Jose by far
My chimmchaga was supposed to be chicken. The meat was ground and didn't taste like chicken.
We were a large group so it was a buffet style for all of us. I felt that the buffet style food could have been better and having a few more choices. But overall they were very nice and treated as well
I love this place the food is a good as it has always been

I moved to south San Jose about a year ago and was since then looking for a good Mexican restaurant near our house. Today was our first time here and we had a great experience, food service and atmosphere was very authentic. I will definitely come back more times.

My dining experience at Mexico Lindo on the evening of Friday, November 15th, took a deeply unsettling turn when I witnessed a rat scurrying around the restaurant. The rat appeared at the table directly across from us, immediately startling us as it moved through the U-shaped booth, then toward the service stand. This stand, had an open drawer with neatly folded forks and on the countertop water pitchers, napkins, red chip baskets, and a large tub of chips used for refills.
What was particularly alarming was how the rat seemed to know exactly where to go. It made a beeline for the top of the chip container and then scurried down the booth's backrest before disappearing into a hole in the corner. The commotion caught the attention of nearby busboys, but by then, we were so horrified and disgusted but had already paid so we quickly gathered our things to leave.
Outside, the manager came over and attempted to explain that the restaurant had been in business for 40 years without such an issue. However, the rat's precise behavior--its direct route to the chip counter, strongly suggested this was not an isolated incident, nor a new problem. It was deeply disturbing to witness, and my primary concern is the risk of food contamination. Given the proximity of the rat to areas where food is stored and prepared, it's frightening to think how much of the food could have been tainted.
The lack of an appropriate response only made matters worse. The restaurant offered no compensation, instead offering excuses for the situation. To make matters even worse, I felt nauseous all night, likely a result of the appalling sight and the disturbing implications about food safety.
I am truly disturbed by the restaurant's complete lack of urgency in addressing a serious hygiene issue, and I will never return to Mexico Lindo. No one should take the risk of eating there, especially with the potential for rats contaminating food.

My friends and I went to your facility on November 15 to eat and hear Mariachi’s. We were done eating and a big rat ran across the top of the booth across from us. I ran outside. My friends stayed and said something to the waiter. The manager came and spoke to us outside, told us that’s hasn’t happened in 40 years!! She did apologize, said it must have come in from the cold. I will never return to that restaurant again!!

We’ve been going her for at least a a year, 3,4 times a month is not unusual. Last night was a huge fail, we walked out after not being waited on for over 15 mins, not even a glass of water.
These plenty of other Mexican restaurants out there.
Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. The people there are friendly to our family!
