Great pizzas and great staff!
Patxi's has been offering a satisfying deep dish pizza for as long as I've patronized them (2 years) - until recently. For the past couple months the sauce has been notably sparse, leaving the crust to dry out well beyond the ideal texture. Not to mention the wait time for orders has gone well over their estimation the past two times I've ordered from them.I'd guess this dip in quality is due to a personnel shortage, which is unfortunate - but unsurprising given the current sad state of workers rights. Here's hoping Patxi rebounds from this recent string of disappointing output.
Bad for the waistline and your wallet, but worth it as these pies are just so delicious. They're not traditional pizzas, but wetter and better. Order the Matt Cain (SF GOAT) if you're a meat lover and welcome to Flavor Town.
Walk-in and ordered and pay. 30 min later called me to say no soup available. Ok money reimbursed only pizza. But the order time was reset without knowing. 1 hour 15 minutes to wait… awful service. No even water offered
Best DEEP DISH (outside of Chi-town) ever! We were just wanting some great local pizza and our friends recommended it. Firstly, they got the order perfectly right, secondly, they were super quick! Thirdly, the pizza was hot when we got it which is a tall order! We ordered a bunch of vegetables and the pizza was done perfectly. We are still craving it now. Sauce was so tasty, crust was cooked perfectly. We are very picky and we were blown away by how good. It was takeout btw.
It’s the best restaurant for deep crust pizza around! They offer a variety of flavors to choose from, and the staff is excellent. I will definitely come back.
Sunday @noon no slices and only 1 person working.Grossest pizza I ever had. Full of water and no taste. This place used to be great but not so much anymore.
Can you have too much pizza?? This is the question we were answering when we ordered so many pizzas during a team outing. Have I had better pizza… sure but this is close to perfect. Great variations as well as classics. We actually ordered Caesar salad as if any of us would notice what it was beyond feeling good to get some greens intake. The then crust was my fave. The deep dish stuff was really yummy, wish I had more capacity for intake but no dice. Great crust and ingredients. Service was also very good. A friend ordered the vegan; he reported it was not great because it had too much vegan cheese and not enough veggies — I trust his take and saw the blob on his plate. Cocktails were ok; stick to beer and wine. Good outdoor seating with umbrellas.
Wonderful and polite waiters and service but incompetent kitchen staff with a manager that simply doesn't care. Ordered a pizza which comes without tomato sauce. Asked if I can have the same pizza but with tomato sauce in it. Waiter said yes and I made sure it was understood what I ordered and the order was put in right. Pizza came out without sauce. Manager's fix: put tomato sauce on top and serve to the customer. At this point you can tell that the manager doesn't care. I sent it back so they make the pizza again. This time they made a different pizza. Not the one I asked and half of the ingredients missing. Yep, manager doesn't care and kitchen staff are incompetent. My guess? Their pizzas are frozen and they can only make small changes, like add simple ingredients. To top it off my son's small pizza from the kid's menu they completely forgot. Needless to say we ate in batches and my son had his pizza last a full 1 hour later. Not a place that's worth a second chance.
I wish i could give less than one star. This place does not have any cooling (not even fans). I went there at 4pm and it was like a hot sauna. I would not recommend this place. They need to get the cooling system fixed as it has been broken for a long time as per the person over the counter.

Do not order online. It will take longer than expected. I ordered 1 deep dish pizza and it took about an hour and a half for the pizza to be ready. We waited for about half an hour at the place and they only had about 3 tables so it's not like they were swamped. The pizza is expensive as it is, and in the end the pizza wasn't good. My husband and I were very disappointed. We came here because of the Instagram page and thought we'd give it a try. The front lady was nice so we gave it a two star.
This restaurant offers the best thin and deep crust pizza around! I prefer the sauces and additional mozzarella, and they have enough of it. They also offer a variety of flavors to choose from, and the staff is excellent. This pizza parlor is without a doubt the best in town, and I will undoubtedly return. VERY NICE WORK!
For deep dish Chicago, the small size isn't worth it. It's too thin compared to other Chicago style pizzas. Only the large size ones are actual Chicago pizzas. Also note that it takes up to 45 mins to get a Chicago style pizza. They do not let you order ahead (on phone) if you are trying to dine in. The regular/large size Chicago pizzas aren't bad though, just prepare to wait a bit.
We ordered two beers, garlic bread, mac and cheese, and a deep dish pizza. Everything was perfect although the draft beers were a little flat. Our waitress was attentive and polite.
The food was very good. It appears this place is quite popular as it was packed when I went there for take out. The server was nice/friendly.
